Create fabric art or breathe new life into favorite garments with visible mending! In this video, I'll show you how to combine the rythmn of traditional sashiko stitches with the free-spirited, improvisational philosophy of Saori weaving to create stunning, one-of-a-kind textiles.
This isn’t just mending-it’s wearable art. Whether you’re patching a tear, reinforcing a weak spot, or making something purely decorative, this project invites creativity, mindfulness, and self-expression.
Perfect for beginners and experienced stitchers, this approach is about enjoying the process as much as the result and not worrying about "mistakes"
I hope I've inspired you to make something beautiful

Thanks so much for the tip on how to use plastic canvas as a template. I was going to get rid of mine and I’m happy that I didn’t! I’ve stitched up a cover for a book using this Sashiko inspired pattern too! Relatively quick and easy!

I’m glad that worked out for you. I also use mine to for printing usually on paper, but I’m thinking of trying it with fabric
