Easy Peak Confidence for Qualification - F1 Manager 2023

In this video I will show you how you can easily and reliably get peak confidence for your driver for qualification.
Confidence will be reset between each qualification session, which also means you can use this strategy for each qualification session except for Q3 where you will only have 1 run to build confidence.
This is a bit of a cheesy strategy, but it is a easy way to safely build up your driver confidence for the final run.

What's good Nero? I ran some tests regarding the confidence levels, and I found that yes, while confidence level jumps high by being the 1st car on track it also drops drastically as faster cars beat your time. I think the best strategy would be setting a faster lap after everyone has made their run as confidence levels go high, and you won't suffer a crazy drop if you go down a place or 2. Hope that makes sense.

Have an updated version of this guide which includes a reliable strategy for qualification: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIKsXnmVn9WZitE This is a fairly easy way to gain peak confidence for your qualification runs, combine it with 2 flying laps back to back and you should have much better chances for pole.

If you manually control there out lap you can heat up temperatures on the tyres quicker meaning better laps I think let me know if it’s wrong

Is that actually true in your experience? I didn't try it, but if that's the case it's programming on an absolute amateur level by the game devs lol

Seems to be the case as they have really cold tyres at the start of the push lap if you set it on auto. Basically need to set it to aggressive right away to build up enough temperature

Not sure if it works. I usually run manual mode. Aggressive on the tires to get heat. I try to start push lap on the fuel and deploy ers before the flying lap begins. Lighter car is a faster car.

Don't you run through more tires though? What if you need them for Q2 or Q3?

You don't need to run fresh tires to build confidence, you can keep running the same set.

You want to keep using the same soft set as there is a limit to the amount of attempts you have during qualifying. You can however if the car is good enough use the same soft set in Q1 and Q2.

It does work for the confidence but they've fixed most of the issues with quali including tyre warmup.
