Here's how I make a delicious vegan pizza from scratch. Homemade whole wheat crust, homemade "cheese", and even homemade pepperoni!

Ingredients:
(dough)
2 Cups (250 grams) Whole Wheat Flour: amzn.to/3YVMrF4
2 Tablespoons Vital Wheat Gluten: amzn.to/3YOFVzT
2 Pinches of Salt
1 teaspoon Active Dry Yeast: amzn.to/3KXoGqa
3/4 Cup (200 grams) Water
(cheese)
1 1/2 Cups Cashew Milk
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Tapioca Starch: amzn.to/44rxvQ3
2 Tablespoons Potato Starch: amzn.to/3PdXWnO
[you can also replace this cheese with our "Mozzarella" recipe: • Mozzarella "Cheese" bu... ]
(sauce)
Crushed Tomato as needed
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Oregano
1/2 teaspoon Basil
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
Red Pepper Flake if desired
Top with what you like! We used mushrooms, onion and our plant based Pepperoni

I gave up on trying to make "cheese". I use hemp hearts, garlic powder, onion powder, and mushroom powder to make a shake cheese. It makes the flavor rich and gives it mouth feel. Also great on pasta, veggies... like parm. I can't wait to try your 'roni recipe...👍

Let me tell you from one pizza baker to another: especially if you're doing a whole wheat dough preparing it the day the before you need it and resting it in the fridge overnight does wonders for consistency and taste of the dough and really is worth the added time! (Though it's actually the same time, just on different days) Otherwise great recipe and good points like not overcrowding or oversaucing the pizza, which so many hobby bakers do.

Great vid Brian, lots of good tips. Definitely going to make the whole wheat crust, and using the raw crushed tomatoes out of the can is great...every time I make pizza it's always a scramble to make a sauce first, not any more.
