Easy recipe, but one that leads to overcooking and tough salmon. Put the fillets in the boiling water, turn the heat down to a simmer, and then remove 5-7 minutes later. If the salmon is firm to the touch, it's done. If you keep it in boiling water for 5 - 10 (!) minutes, it's overdone.

Instead of throwing raw dill on the plate for color, chop it finely and throw it in a stick of melted butter with salt and white pepper. Pour that over fish and serve with a netted lemon half. More purposeful more delicious and you’re not eating raw dill.

Thank you for the video 👍🏻 I replace with smashed garlic, as I don't have onions. As well as use mixed dried herbs as I don't have dill. Added coarse black pepper and olive oil. Taste good too

5-10 minutes of cook time is a huge range. that's a 100% variance. They should rather just say, cook to 120 F internal temp, approx 5 minutes.

that's not poaching, the water is way to hot, you're boiling it

I thought poaching is when the food is totally submerged in water
