Making a white cake mix with pistachio pudding in the mix. Then Pistachio pudding for the "holes". Covering that with crushed and drained pineapple, Cool Whip with a tint of green food coloring and topping it all off with some shredded coconut. CAlling it my Leprechan Cake for our work St. Patrick's Day pot luck! Hoping it turns out a wonderful as yours! Fingers crossed!!!

TYFS - Looks Delicious 😋 I Love Poke Cakes! I’ve never seen one that had also been topped with frosting before. Thank you for the frosting tip too. I’ve only made a vanilla poke cake with chocolate pudding. Several years ago a friend told me that when she makes a box cake mix she beats the egg whites separately, mixes all the other ingredients together, and then she would fold the egg whites into the batter. It really makes your cakes fluffy and that’s the way that I’ve made mine since. 🤓

Making one for my birthday today.... But I made my cake from my favorite recipe, instead of the boxed kind...... Nothing wrong with boxed, but I had the ingredients and time so why not.......I made a vanilla cake with strawberry pudding. I then took the whipped vanilla frosting mixed it with cool whip until I got a soft light frosting. I then sliced fresh strawberries up and folded them into the frosting. I then frosted the cake......I'm going to have it tonight can't wait!!!!!

I use for the frosting is 1 small box of lemon pudding (instant) and 1 envelope of whipped topping mix and reduce the amount of liquid and whip up and frost cake, Set in fridge and enjoy with a fresh cup of coffee

I prefer the flavor of regular pudding to the instant and I just mix it together in the microwave just as easily as using the instant putting. I would try using a chocolate cake and butterscotch pudding. Yum, yum 😉❤

I had already made mine and I was waiting for it to cool off in the refrigerator when I thought i want to look up and see what other cakes others had made and found your channel :) I wish i'd looked it up first because i didnt make the holes big enough , I used a straw. I also seen you used 3 cups of milk, and that and using a wooden spoon to make the holes is so helpful for me . I will do that next time and my pudding will go inside of the cake instead of all sitting on top of the cake . It was still really good though :)

Can I put a pie filling underneath the cake or instead of the frosting have a cream cheese over the top like a blueberry poke cake but still put the pudding. It will, just make the holes big enough. You can also take a spoon and run over the top and that will help the pudding get in the holes.

When I was a child my mom used jello instead of the pudding. I remember the jello would invade the cake a little around the holes it was a happy fun cake. I can’t have sugar so I bought a sugar free vanilla cake mix and I got sugar free vanilla pudding I hope it comes out.
