This is such a clear video. When you first take it out of the package how long do you knead the clay
@MyVian3 жыл бұрын
Hi! This cannot be defined because it depends on the clay type, room temperature, your hands temperature etc. The clay has to be conditioned (or kneaded) until it’s nice, soft and easy to work.. sometimes it is fast and clay is ready in few minutes but sometimes it takes really long if the clay is dry.

Hi! I’ve recently been trying to create my own polymer clay earrings and ordered a kit off of amazon. The clay is extremely sticky and glossy looking. I was wondering where you got your clay from or if I should be looking for a specific type of clay.

Hi Marysa! We recommend using polymer clay from popular brands, for example we use Fimo. There is existing also Sculpey, Cernit, Kato...these are all good quality ☺️

Hi Ambie! You know how sometimes colour mixes are a bit random, you take little bit of this and mix it with little bit of that, without writing down what is in your mix..and this also was the case, so unfortunately we cannot replicate 100% this colour mix.. but maybe in the future, we could make some more colour mixing videos.. would you be interested?

How do you apply your stud posts to your earrings? I tried e6000 but I’m having issues with them popping off
@MyVian4 жыл бұрын
Hello Marissa! We also glue them, but we have made lot of “testing” to find the right glue, unfortunately it´s a local no-name brand, so we cannot give any advice in this case. But you are absolutely right that not all glues work well, you probably need to find the right one by trial and error method..The other option is to incorporate the studs in the clay, this is a higher quality level and we plan to do it this way in near future too :)
@missmemissy4 жыл бұрын
MyVian thank you so much for the response! Okay, I will keep testing then! Do you have any recommendations for glues that you found worked fairly well? I do plan to do that in the future as well! It’s too late for the earrings I already have made though so I’m trying to figure out how to salvage them and still be able to sell them 😅 Makes me so nervous trying to make a product I feel 100% confident in
@MyVian4 жыл бұрын
Actually you can do it also with already finished earrings, polymer clay can be baked another time :) glue the finding as normal, add a thin layer of clay and bake! But test this method first with a pair which will not make you sad if it goes wrong :)

Is filo soft or professional better for jewellery?
@MyVian3 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura, both are suitable for creating jewelry, but Fimo Soft is not suitable for some types of creations. For example, if you plan on creating / modeling very small details it’s better to use Fimo Professional, since it is firmer. If you plan to create something similar like we do in this video, also Fimo Soft will work :)
