How cute that is and turned out. You can also use it in the bathroom with the paper and magazines in it too. Which is what I did. Have a great day

So creative! I didn’t realize it was a fabric holder until I watched the video. I thought it was fabric coming out of the box. Simple idea big impact!

That's so funny! I can totally see how you thought that. I was having a really hard time gluing the fabric basket into place. I tried super glue, tacky glue, Elmer's glue, Fabritac...The fabric just wanted to pop open and the sticks wouldn't stay long enough for the glue to take. That's why I glued the fabric around a dowel to pre-form the hanging shape. Then it was really easy to glue it in place.

Thank you! I was looking through my bag of scraps and chose one I liked but I still kept looking. So glad! It's so perfect. I got a bunch of fabric scraps from a local quilt shop for $15. A whole box worth.

Thank you :) I can't decide whether it's cuter as a yarn basket or magazine rack. Both!

So there is nothing holding the bottom of the side pieces a certain distance apart? For some reason I always thought those things had a single rod inside the bottom of the basket. Seems like it could be rather flimsy otherwise, at least in life size. But I don't have one, I just have an old sewing basket like my mom had

No, I just have the side pieces. The wood glue holds quite well but you hide more support inside. It doesn't seem to need it though.

Some of them in real life do have rods to keep the bottom supported, but a lot of them are just fabric. Yarn is quite light, just bulky, so it doesn't take much to hold it.. hehe There are even some that just look like fabric purses with handles to carry them. I saw one that was completely round. It actually looked like a round side table. All wood, and a hole in the center of the top, with a fabric "bag" hanging from it, like the pocket of a pool table. It was so neat. No underneath support at all.

@@Shari_A._ They definitely do come in all shapes and sizes. I saw some really cool ones when I was Googling and designing this basket.
