Switch the brewing stand out for a chiseled bookshelf for the system to sort enchanted books!

Couldn't get either to work on on 1.21. It would separate items from potions. But the non-potions would be locked in the discard hopper, never going into the chest. I used a variation on the book sorter that uses a dropper but replaced the chiseled bookshelf with the brewing stand, and it works fine.

I know this is old, but just found this. Still works in latest bedrock edition. Also, in turned on experimental features for 1.20, and this same setup works with the new chiselled book shelves to sort enchanted books too!

So I found out that turtle shells are the only non stackable that can fit in the top slot of a brewing stand. I made a sorter for it but sadly it needs the player to take the shells out of the brewing stand cause a hopper won't do it. I thought I would tell you this because I know you do cool unstackable sorters on this channel. Also you can make it playerless if you move the brewing stand out of the way and replace it with a new one. Then latter on collect all your turtle shells from the brewing stands. This is pretty much a useless machine but it is a cool concept

Keep up the great work bro

This does work, but it's very very unreliable. It barely gets through a raid without freezing with the piston extended. No hoppers facing downwards anywhere as specified as well. Most drops are presorted so there isn't much going to it.

How about security systems or farms i feel it would expand you channel even more who knows?

If I'm placing this off of a raid farm, can I have a double chest at the top without it overflowing the redstone or does it need to be a single chest/barrel?
@rocketbuilder2 жыл бұрын
A double chest will work just fine.

why would the hopper have to be horizontal with the other?
@rocketbuilder Жыл бұрын
Due to hopper mechanics, this makes the system reliable. The slightly complicated answer is hoppers are always trying to collect and move items at all times. By having the hopper angled to the side, we limit the hopper to only collect items from the container right above it. Then we can be much more precise when items enter and leave each hopper

This will be mu first time attempting a sorting system in Minecraft and I was wondering how close do I have to be for it to work. I know some machines break if you leave them unattended. Like can I put my items in and then go back to caving or should I stay close till all items are sorted?
@rocketbuilder2 жыл бұрын
Congrats on building ur first sorter! They r a lot of fun 😄 For most sorters, it is best to keep the chunks loaded while the items r being sorted. Because this is bedrock edition, it tends to have more issues with redstone if it is in action when the chunks r unloaded
