After some time i got it to work. I’m sure everyone has the same issue(bedrock) if built correctly. On the 1 repeater that you have to add an extra tick to, add 1 more. So it’s 3 ticks instead of the 2. This is for the clock. It will be slower, but the items don’t skip chests and don’t go straight to overflow. Let me know if this is confusing I’ll try my best to explain

I want to say, I built this in Bedrock 1.21 in a realm and I consider myself a skilled noob at the game. Punchline: it DOES work and can be reconfigured just like Silentwhisper says. Many people here, myself included, have complained that blocks get skipped in chests since the droppers seem to be dropping items faster than the hoppers can feed the sorting chests, or similar problems. Some people have said that the timing of the repeaters at the timer is critical AND THEY ARE RIGHT. I still only barely understand how any of these redstone contraptions work, but with enough trial and error and reading deep into the comments I was able to get it to work 100% reliably- and it's huge and awesome. Since the redstone signal has limited length and adding repeaters anywhere seems to break it, I just built two assemblies in a row with one redstone timer on the end. Each assembly is 7 double chests tall and 4 double chests wide and fed by the hopper and dropper columns in the video. Its exactly the same, except taller and doubled in a row. The problems I was having involved missing a piece of redstone dust on the very top back block behind the input chest and setting the initial timer repeaters to 3 ticks on both. It's slow, but it works.

I've watched SO many tutorials and downloaded worlds directly from them, learned how to use litematica, slowed down videos, joined discords and subreddits (but didn't ask any questions yet cause I don't know what i don't know, so I don't want to bother them). This will work perfectly for my needs right now. Eventually I would like to figure out what it is I don't know to make something work for me, but for now, I'm SO relieved that I can sort my stuff in a MiS system and really easily! Edit: I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my first attempt at this one didn't work, even after rewatching the building part several times and following along. I'm sick, though, so I'm going to blame it on that, and it's not that I'm a complete dingus who can't follow simple directions -_-

2 issue solved BEDROCK MCPE - 1)- if we built same as vid, all the items would be end in Overflow chest ! Solution - the clock at bottom right , the repeater needs to be set on 3 ticks left to redstone torch ! 2)- Some items get stuck in between when input chest gets empty and we needed tu put extra items to get stuck useful ones in ! Solution - 10:05 make that X shape double to rightside , i mean add a single repeater clock , Place repeater right next to comparator facing opposite direction of comparator , complete the clock by 1 redstone torch at backside of repeater block , place a block on top of torch and redstone on that block ! This makes the system overclock even is chest gets empty but you can add a lever at the repeater block to turn on/off the auto fill. Please pin me to help others.🎉

I was trying to move the loading chest to the floor instead of the roof, but the wiring wasn't translating well in the space I had available. Having to move the comparator-activation circuit, plus the circuit that slowed down the hopper, and then add in a dropper elevator - it just wouldn't fit. Then it occurred to me that I can leave the main chest up top and just add a separate elevator system that moved the items to the top. I ended up using a soul sand bubble column and water to get the job done, but I imagine a dropper elevator would work as well. (Water is cheaper) The bonus to this is now that I wanna hook up a simple farm to the system, I can just use the same water stream to get my items into the loading chest.

If you want to expand it horizontally for more than the redstone can go, just add a redstone line with repeaters parallel to the system (yeah, it makes it wider but it helps), and when the redstone stops reaching, you make a bit of redstone come from that source to power it up, you could do it in one floor or in both, whatever it is better for you
@nicholasherrald28664 ай бұрын
Can you explain this, please- Every time i try to extend it, the redstone repeater bricks up the system
@S3BAS_ELITE4 ай бұрын
@@nicholasherrald2866 I had this issue, you have to create a parallel redstone line that starts where the original comes from, you go until the original redstone power can't reach, go a little further and create a line from the parallel line that already have repeaters to give signal to this part. Because it is connected to the original clock it works perfect, and if you need to do it in blocks above, from that parallel line you make a path from it to go upside, be creative with that and use repeaters so you have the energy you need

I should mention this but there’s some wonkiness with the droppers. If you were to say setup a dropper chain cycling system to to detect from a comparator for some reason it should be going in order. Basically from said amount but let’s go with 9. Each one being numbered in order to be in the right order, 1 - 2 - 3 so on and so forth. Instead of the right order sequence it will go from 1 to 4, then from 4 to 9 in some weird update order. Yes anyone can replicate this weird issue if you’re a redstone builder. I do hope this will be fixed or end up to be an unfixable bug.

Is there any worth in building a bigger/ more complex system? Everyone I try to build is either broken are about to break lol is there a reliable way to build these massive item sorters on bedrock?
@ianjamison89987 ай бұрын
honestly it depends on your needs, this one would work great in the early game when you don't have a ton of items. I'd say that if you're running out of space or it doesn't sort fast enough for you then yes, it would be worthwhile getting a more advanced system, generally what I've found with big systems is that bedrock edition has weird problems with chunk unloading and that it can cause some weird stuff to happen when your stuff is not chunk aligned as possible. one thing I like to do before doing a more advanced storage system is sort of start with a slightly more basic version, just to understand the mechanics of it and then work my way up to a more advanced system, for example Instead of building a shulker unloader for it right off the bat I would instead wait until I fully understand the mechanics of the system. honestly depending on your resources, you might not ever need an insane storage room that can store thousands of every single item, however if you happen to be a more ambitious player you might find that more simple systems like this don't fit your needs. as for how to build those more complex systems just play with a simple version on a creative test world until you fully understand it then slowly work your way up to whatever your goal is. sorry if I said to much, lol my brains and fingers are a little fried@@cayde6sace558

@@ianjamison8998 this was a great reply but i am really bad at the understanding part of the redstone lol i do know how to find chunk borders but was hopping for a video rec on a good big storage design. Ive got a server with some friends and we have a bunch of resources becasue ive been building farms for lots of stuff but its getting to be a real headach to manage them. Im thinking of just doing silent somethings design with the stacked chest minecarts and do smaller storage buildings with similar block groupings and crossing my fingers the chest minecarts dont despawn but I would much prefer a more traditional style chest system that could hold everything or at least one chest per item in the game would be really cool to do. I built prowls latest design and it didnt work on my server so ive been a bit discouraged to build another persons design and have the same issue
@ianjamison89987 ай бұрын
yup that's storage tech, a big headache lol. I think if those minecarts are chunk aligned then there shouldn't be a problem generously it's a problem with entities moving across chunk borders and then stopping. if I had to recommend a large completely reliable storage system it would be just your bog-standard item filter these things will almost never break if you can just figure out how to have enough in one slice and how to load the whole thing at once then this might work for you. for inspiration on storage tech you could watch cubicmetre he doesn't play bedrock but he does a good job at explaining stuff.@@cayde6sace558

First of all: cool - I didn't even think you could build a categorizer system this small - fun idea. I likel the simplicity of this, but.... Without having tested it: isn't it painfully slow? As far as I understand if you need to send items to the very last chest in this 3x3 configuration, it needs to go through all the hoppers and all the droppers (with the exception of the last bits that puts items into the overflow chest) - and that just sounds like it would take forever. I really like these item categorizer systems, but in early game I am not sure you actually need it. I get the whole expanding-as-you-go thing, but if you really want an item categorizer in later game, I don't think you would expand this system - just build a bigger version (such as the others Slient has vids of) - it sorts waaay faster. I would deffo build the 1 wide configuration tho, either 3 or 4 chests tall, I think for early game. The only "problem" is that you gotta get to the nether to build this (since you need 1 nether quartz for the comparator) and I am not sure nether is that early game for everyone - even if it's just for 1 quartz. Great vid overall - good and clear instructions.

I think i figured out everyones problem with the repeaters. At several times in the main clock section of the video, op says 2 ticks but only ticks it once. I'm guessing its because its at 1 tick upon placement, so hitting it once after that means 2 ticks? Doesnt explain why the same thing is done to the 1st repeaters he places and he says 1 tick, but i'll chalk it up to simple slip in wording if its not the former Edit: rewatched the first part, my bad. It was the former. I just got confused.

If I want to make it very long, can I just put some reapeters or it will break? Sory for my english and hi from Romania!
@silentwisperer7 ай бұрын
youd need to make it in sections, or ideally just build multiple full systems in a row. connect the output elevator to the input chest of the next. this gives you multiple inputs and prevents as many items from getting left in droppers:)

so it worked great for 10 seconds now it's just automatically going to the output chest even though there is still room for the cobblestone to go into its correct chest, maybe it's because of the new 1.21 update? Can you help me?

same. i drop a stack in the input and some go into the sorting chest, but most go to the overflow no matter how many ticks i have on the repeaters.

This is what I expect an item organizer to do. Single item chests are a waste of space to me. One problem: is there a version of this for stackable single double wide chests instead of double row double wides? I need to compact space. Having double wides takes up too much space. I like using the single double wide chests from single organizers, but want the categorizer running into stackable single double wides. Aka, this is wasting space. I want the double chests to stick out and be stackable. Minecarts are faster, but too noisy and take up too much space. I like the dropper/hopper method. I need to compact space. So single item sorters are a no go. Is there a way to make it all one row instead of two wide? Can I just run my dropper elevator on the end and just stack everything else?

I still think that your item filter style storage system is far superior to this one. Seems like it is less maintenance as you don't have to fill out the chest manually at all. Then again, you have to manually set the filter but it turns out so clean that it's worth it I would use this for like the wood bits and stone bits such as buttons, stairs, gates and such so they all can sort into the same chest.
@jayr76134 ай бұрын
@rgwergwregerg it works by keeping the chests full of at least 1 item in every space, as the items get passed around to each hopper that goes to each chest, they will only fall into the chest when the same item is present in the chest. For example Chest 1 full of stairs of all types, 1 of 64 in each. Chest 2 has diamonds emeralds and iron. But you toss a diamond in the system. It can't fall into Chest 1 because it's full of stair type items, but it CAN fall into Chest 2. The problem comes in when Chest 2 is full with stacks of 64. Then the diamonds would just keep going on and on until they hit the end of the system, OR they find a Chest that doesn't have all of its slots filled with at least 1 of an item. So if you play on a multi person server, this wouldn't be a desirable device unless every player respects the device properly. If someone were to come in and take all of the items out of some slots of chest 1, then anything including the diamonds and emeralds wpuld fall into Chest 1 instead.
@jayr76134 ай бұрын
@rgwergwregerg no not with this type of system. He DOES have a video on a system that's like this one but it has a filter chest in the back. It's a bit more redstoning but you don't have to maintain the filter in the back and the storage chest can do exactly what this one does. I would check that one out.

@rgwergwregerg search for this "item categorizer silentwhisperer" That should find one I think you want! Little more setup intensive but I think it's going to give you the desired outcome!

I made mine 10 chests long and 3 chests tall. Some items skip their designated chests and end up getting stuck on one of the hoppers on the 7th column :(( Im on bedrock. How do I fix this?
@TFFP20244 күн бұрын
Because of the Redstone strength. It dies after the 7th chest or 14 blocks from the main clock

I'm at restone block #16 so now how do I power the next 15? Does each 15 have to have the clock stuff added too? I apologize if this is a simple fix but even though I'm a seasoned player I've never really gotten into redstone yet and I really want to build this with about 45 blocks of redstone to travel. TIA for any help. ETA: Do I just add a repeater to join the 15 slice bunches together?
@silentwisperer7 ай бұрын
you'll have to do something like the corner redstone i show at the end. you might need a gap between systems so the items come in at the right times tho. might be easier to start a new system there with a new input, this will also decrease time to sort and items left behind in droppers etc.
