I'm trying to remove some push nuts from some umbrella stroller wheels.They are difficult to pry off.However,the strangest thing is one of the push nuts fell off all by itself when I was using the stroller. It doesn't seem like that should ever happen,really.

It happens! Use the guides explained in this video for the best chance at removal. If these steps fail, you may be fighting a larger push nut. Try heat or an air chisel.

Derek, in the case where the push nut flange is flush with the assembly, why not grind through the end of the push nut? Then support the entire assembly so the other end of the pin is free, and use a punch to drive the pin through the push nut. The advantage of this technique is that you don't destroy the pin.
