I once brought fabric for a project I was going to donate to a charity. First step is to wash and iron fabrics before you start sewing. Walmart had the right color. When I got the fabric ready it was virtually like cheesecloth. I now only shop at fabric and craft stores!

You are right who cares what seam allowance you use as long as it’s all the same. All the old time quilters used larger seams.

@kayeprescott8228 yes. I'm sorry about that. This was more of a video just yo show my KZbin friends what I was making for my granddaughter. It didn't work out quite as I planned, but it's still a cute warm blanket 2 years later. And my daughter is having another baby in February so I get to make another baby quilt. Thanks for watching.
