If your headlights on your Audi TT don't sit right, are loose or you find people are flashing you (because you're blinding them) your headlight mounting brackets might be broken. There are two which can break
- lower back corner closest to the wheel arch
- top middle which is clearly visible
They're held in with T30 torx screws.
I've been meaning to do this for a while since my AFS LED headlights came delivered from a UK seller with broken mounts 🥲. I tried to fix the headlight tabs by plastic welding but that didn't last too long leading to dropped headlights and terrible aim - pointing right into the eyes of oncoming traffic.
This simple repair will get your TT 8J halogen or xenon headlights (even aftermarket - all the housings are the same) mounted properly helping to keep the clean lines of the TT and have the light aimed properly.
They are sided so make sure you get the correct kit
8J0998121 LEFT
8J0998122 RIGHT
After installation i did a basic settings just to make sure they were aimed correct.
Any questions let me know
