I use this same Rembrandt lighting ring light technique but I use the diffuser cover from a softbox… because I used all the parchment paper while making cookies.

dude. I watched a dozen videos and this demonstration turning them on as he went along was very easy to understand vs. some of the science others put into it. don't get me wrong its phenomenal to know the science behind these things, however this was incredibly simple. thank you sir

If I don’t have a hair light, would it still work with RGB only in the background? I am military and the barracks is not that huge

Yes, but you won't get as much of a separation.

Normaly you would have spot over the head, and film TRUE the ring is the whole point with a ringlight.

shadows on the face (natural in the real world) is not good for female beauty youtubers.......different lighting is needed
@peterharoldjanakjr20782 жыл бұрын
But, if you can avoid it. Your hair light shouldn't be in the frame of the shot. Unless it's a part of the scene
@KenTheContentCoachYT2 жыл бұрын

@wingofwinter8882 жыл бұрын
wrong. diffusion material doesnt soften the light. there are 2 key components 1. diffusion material makes the light source BIGGER. the bigger the light compares to the subject = the softer the shadows or what they called as wrap aroung. 2. diffusion material makes the photon homogenous, thats why the light hits more even and it looks soften the shadows. so SIZE and photon homogen, thats makes light softer.
@MubinNoor2 жыл бұрын
What material would you suggest as a good light diffuser?

unbelievable! the amount of times i was *this* close to purchasing a camera because i thought my phone wasn’t enough, and all this time i could’ve just focused on the lightning! the first and second shot in this video look like they come from two massively different cameras! 🫨 thank you so much for this tips!!
