I want thank you for your cheeky videos. About six months ago I received a cancer diagnosis, then broke both my ankles, and then developed sepsis. Needless to say, I've spent a lot of time in bed in a lot of pain. Your channel has been a wonderful bright spot in all of this.

My niece bought Catherine's sewing course and loved it. I'd tried to teach her to sew but we get so chatty we always forgot about the sewing and chatted away the afternoon instead. I was amazed at how much she learned. Some wonderful tips I didn't even know and I've been sewing a long time. My niece is a school teacher - 3rd grade - & said Catherine has the knack for being clear & concise as she goes through her classes. She even made the bear & is making more for the low income kids in her class whose parents will be struggling to provide Xmas for their tikes. All her fabrics are thrifted men's jackets for the boys bears and pretty floral fabrics from thrifted clothing for the girl's bears. I found a #10 box of batting at a local charity shop & picked it up for her to use. She's having a blast with her new sewing skills.

I cleaned out my fabric closet, going through every piece organizing them. We are trying to use less paper (my son and his family are too!), so I am making lots of cloth napkins and fabric towels to replace paper towels. My son has four children, so they each choose a fabric napkin for the day and place a clothes pin with their name on it (to use for the next meal etc.) I have a bunch of fat quarters, and they make a great size napkin!!

I'm short like you so always have a strip of fabric left over after hemming my clothes I use to make scrunchies. I love love scrunchies! I never thought about making make-up or dish pads. Brilliant! I'm off to make oodles of these for myself & for gifts. What a great idea, thank you!

I have a sewing machine.. But never use it because I haven't for so many years, and I am nervous to start again.. .. I tend to sew everything by hand on the sofa watching a film..scrunchies would be easy! Great idea! I really hope I get into machine sewing again... But now I am busy with felting and hand knitting projects.

These are adorable. My nieces wear scrunchies on their wrists. If they like a boy and he likes them he wears one of their scrunchies on his wrist. Things change and yet stay the same. 😊

Thank you Dainty. I’ve been thinking for a while how to reduce my use of makeup remover pads! I will definitely be making these cute pads. Also my girls (and me!) will adore the floral scrunches too! I’ve made tea/dish towels with my floral scraps with terry cotton on one side too. I can’t bear to throw out my floral scrap fabrics! Can you please do a pin cushion video. I see you use a cute little floral pin cushion! I picked up about a yard and a half of floral fabric to attempt to make a skirt that I can pair up with a junky jumper for Autumn..
