i am in love with old radiators too! my uncles in construction suggested covering your radiators with something cute like a wooden covering or punched metal screen. then just placing an old radiator you find at a salvage or thrift store where you want to in the room. cant beat old wise uncle advice❤😂 the room is beautiful!

I love wallpapering does so much for a room. I used pre pasted with additional paste. I know what you mean wallpaper becomes fragile and tears. I really love the look you are going for. I miss having wallpaper since I no longer own my house. Was thinking how I could do accent pieces with detached sections or possible a moveable framed section.
@DaintyDiaries3 сағат бұрын
I love the idea of a movable frame, even fabric on a screen could be a nice alternative x

A yard and flower bed clean up is so satisfying! I’ve been working on mine. I have lost all my trees since the hurricanes and now having to rethink what I’ll plant.

I love your channel. Your accent reminds me of my mum, she was from the south of Ireland and whilst living in N.I. most of her life, she never lost the southern accent - love it. I miss her so much. I’m 63 and doing a bit of up cycling - I have a big, very plain, dark brown framed mirror. I decided to up cycle it. It’s looking great. Bought an antique wardrobe and matching dressing table from a charity shop, I’m delighted with them, want to up cycle them too. You’re doing a great job with your room. ❤

Buy radiator covers for your radiators, you can make them and age them. We had the column radiators and they are expensive and heavy to install. Lovely paper x

Looks lovely, makes me want to decorate my bedroom too. Just a wee thought. When you take the legs off the wardrobe stick some felt underneath so that you can slide it into place without scratching your floor. Xx

The wallpaper looks beautiful. I have an old cupboard from my grandma,the legs have been taken off because they were very wobbly. It is dark brown and i am not sure if i should do something with it. This was a wonderful video and it gave me some ideas. Have a lovely week "Lady Bridgerton" 😊.

Hi Dainty - Love the decorating, it is looking very classy. I know you have probably said, but what is the colour of your paint you have put onto the ceiling and walls please? Also I love the colour of the BB foundation you use, what is that colour as it looks so fresh and natural. GREAT video, and dare I say, you looked so cute with all the paint splashes over you LOL - I am definitely a paint and roller girl. Thanks Catherine, LOVING these videos, definitely my favourite when you're doing bits around th house. Take care x

I’m taller but still don’t enjoy painting the ceiling. Do wear a shower cap when I paint the ceiling, so I can at least keep it out of my hair. Love the finished product though so it’s worth it.

I’ve been working in my living room. Just painted pale celadon on two walls. And painting a bright white on the paneled walls…I have so much art that’s been moved all over the house and a bunch of it was in the closet for a few years. Finally getting it hung on my living room walls. I can only work a few hours at a time so it’s taking a while. Before December first is my deadline.

You did it again🎉🎉🎉🎉success!!!! Love the paint color and wall paper. I do think the cupboard can look nice with a lite green paint or the same color as the walls and you can even put some of the wall paper on the doors🤷🤭 just in those block features on the front. Great video thanx

When you are painting ceilings, a good tip is to wear a shower cap.
@linmurray43611 сағат бұрын
You can get other brand paints mixed in the paint of your choice and it will be fine if it's for a whole project might not be good for touch up painting. The reason is the base colors of each brand are a little different based on their formulations.

You’ve done well. Looks nice. I haven’t anything to paint right now, sorry I actually enjoy it. It must be all that freedom with the roller ( and scale ) once you have already “ cut in “. My lovely husband feeds us whenever I do a painting marathon. I suspect he would not like to paint it. I once did a room 5 walls ( entrance corner cut off ) and ceiling, 3 coats on all. Took 3 solid days. My child was thrilled, also 2 colours plus white. 👍🏻🇨🇦

Catherine, you are as messy a painter as I am. My neighbor laughed when he saw my clothes and wondered if I had gotten any paint on the walls. It is beginning to look really good. Waiting patiently for the follow-up video.😊

I prefer to use ceiling paint. It doesn't drip or splatter onto my spectacles, my hair, or the rest of the room! It can be custom tinted. Those fabric cutters that look like pizza cutters work well for wallpaper. They're razor-sharp. Love your wallpaper.

Hey Catherine, on that wood trim; does it come in that medium brown color naturally? or is it a stain?
@DaintyDiaries8 сағат бұрын
Hello, that is the natural finish as far as I am aware, It probably has some sealer on it too.

Loving the new stripe wallpaper Catherine. How about wallpapering the inside of that closet with the leftover paper? (if you can't return it that is ) also if you have left over pieces large enough to fit in that wood desk (inside drawers) would be a fun project to protect & beautify at the same time. ❤❤💕💕
