Hi Catherine, brilliant ideas. I love yours and Christina's channels. Little tip, if you don't have batting or felt at home, you can boil wash and then tumble dry old wool jumper, you end up with felt material. To protect your washing machine and dryer during the process, put the jumper in an old pillowcase and tie it at the top.😊

I’ve been sewing for a looong time, so I have a *lot* of scraps!! I use them for patchwork, mini dolls and clothes, and to cover gift boxes! For Christmas, my niece made special throw pillows, and stuffed them with her tiny (unusable) scraps!!❤️

My mom and her friends are avid quilters and they keep all of their selvage strips for me. I use the prettiest ones as ribbons on gifts with brown wrapping paper. The rest of them I cut into small pieces and use to stuff pillows and other projects. I don’t have a sewing machine so I hand sew in the evening while chatting with my husband. Or when I’m on a call with a friend.

The cat collar is my fave. I paid $Au18 ($US10) for my cat's most recent collar as it was pale pink with tiny flamingos and it lasted six months. I'd never buy same again but I'd pay that much for yours ! Best wishes from Australia xx

What clever ideas! It’s so refreshing to see a younger gal sewing so much. High school Home Ec sewing classes ended up being the most rewarding classes of my life, and I’m still using the techniques I learned 50+ years ago to make curtains, drapes, pillow covers, tablecloths, table runners, and clothing! Unfortunately, hand sewing gets really difficult when arthritis sets in, but I still manage to sew on buttons and hem cotton items. Just curious...I love the dresses you wear. Do you make them? If you do, what patterns do you use? I’d love to find some good patterns to make feminine cotton dresses for summer. You are such an inspiration on so many levels, and you make me happy every time I see your beautiful smile. Both of my maternal grandmothers came from Ireland, so you and your gorgeous country hold a very special place in my heart.

Hi love. I always had an interest in sewing but I never got around to being as good as you. I was raising my son alone, working and going to college etc. I also want to get back to knitting. I was a neat knitter but I never got lessons about doing the harder parts. My aunt would do the neck lines and other shapes bar, basic stripes. I want to embroider, knit and crochet.
