At 2:29, you said "right side of fabric facing up". Does right side here means the side with the pockets?
@SaltyDIY2 жыл бұрын
hey Trang Le :) yes, the one with the pockets

Hi again. I don't understand how you are able to make the elastic cord stick to the fabric? And I suppose you tied the stopper button (I don't know the proper name) to the cord beforehand?
@SaltyDIY Жыл бұрын
Hey Trang Le :) You can add it afterwards. I use wooden beads, but you can just tie a chunky knot at the cord's end.
@barefacedquestions Жыл бұрын
@@SaltyDIY I'm curious about the 2:54 part. Was there anything that hold the cord? I guess you sew over it like it's a part of the fabric?
@SaltyDIY Жыл бұрын
@@barefacedquestions the ends are knotted so that when you sew it over, it doesn't slip off :)

This may be a very basic question, but if you sew the edge of a pocket at 1:40, then how can you insert any items in that pocket?
@SaltyDIY2 жыл бұрын
The sewing is done on the edge of the pocket at 1:40. The pocket slots are created by the vertical lines later on in the video :)
@SaltyDIY2 жыл бұрын
sew just the edge , not sew onto the case's body

Can I know what's the material u used for the brush holder
@SaltyDIY4 жыл бұрын
it's cotton fabric, a bit heavier than the quilting fabric but not as thick as canvas :)

Hello SaltyDIY. I'm attempting to follow along with hand sewing. What is the purpose of top stitch 1cm from edge at 3:05? I thought the case is secure enough by then.
@SaltyDIY2 жыл бұрын
Hey Trang Le, you are at the final step of the project ! The top stitching keeps the edges flat and gives it a finished look. For hand stitching, some like to add blanket stitches around the edges.
