So, after my basement bathtub and toiled filled to emergency levels and water started seeping from the sealed edge of my lift pump I turned to KZbin. I found your video and tried the separate plug ins and IT WORKED! I think there’s an issue with my float but I’m able to clear the water from my sewage lines. THANK YOU!

Thanks so much! I skipped a step and just made the pump run 10 sec without checking if something was blocking the float and that cleared the water out my toilet! Plugged back in like usual, toilet works and sump kicked on after running shower. My back hurts, so I’ll check the float for debris a different day 😅

Hey, thanks so much for this. It's very clear and instantly saved us some strife. Our ejector pump stopped running and is leaking water, but it has a piggybacked plug and I was able to narrow the issue to the float/float switch. Not fixed yet but helps a ton!

I have 2 ejector pumps, one for the basement bathroom and one for the washer. I heard the washer one running this morning and I'm 99 percent sure the pit was dry because we weren't doing any laundry. I unplugged and plugged it back in which stopped the pump. I guess I'll find out the next time I do a load of laundry but could resetting it be all I need to do?
@TappPlumbing11 ай бұрын
That is a difficult question to answer . My first guess would be the float got stuck in the upper position telling the pump to run . I would definitely be sure and stay home on the first load or two in case you need to deal with an emergency! Keep us posted if you can please.
@RickWilliamscrm11 ай бұрын
@@TappPlumbing It appears that by unplugging it and plugging it back in cured the issue for now. If the float had debris on it then I suspect it would remain on when I plugged it back in unless stopping the pump dropped it. If it was a switch then again one would think it would stay on or stay off. At some point I plan to take the cover off but it's sealed and I didn't want to deal with it as it may just be a weird anomaly and we are always here when we run the washer.

I never flushed any paper i can hear kick on but when flushing the toilet it backs up any idea?
@TappPlumbing Жыл бұрын
Is it just the toilet that backs up?
@bent9387 Жыл бұрын
Yes only the toilet eventually it will drain but like real real slow takes for ever it fills up as in its going to overflow.
@TappPlumbing Жыл бұрын
If it is only the toilet there is a problem with it and probably not the pump. Of course we taking a guess here through text. Have you tried to plunge the toilet or run a closet auger through it? One more question by the way, is there a tub or shower in this bathroom? If so and nothing is backing up in it or water is not coming from the top of the sewage ejector can then we are probably on the right track. Best of luck ! Keep me posted if you can please!!!
@bent9387 Жыл бұрын
Will do the auger soon yes shower and sink in bathroom nothing backing up there I also noticed not tank in the toilet the water is really low like almost at the bottom maybe not enough water coming in ?
@TappPlumbing Жыл бұрын
It is possible there is not enough water in the tank. If you correct that be careful when trying to flush. If the bowl is blocked it is very likely to overflow
