Another tip if u do this hunt in large numbers a faster way to check for a shiny is in the pokedex if u go to a pokemon and then forms it will shows the male and female sprit but also the shiny sprit if u seen it

I did this hunt not too long ago. Took me like all morning to collect 35 Old Amber. Just to find the shiny Aerodactyl in the first 10 fossils I revived
