First! It’s a quite easy to build and relatively cheep small aquarium. It’s fast to make, I’ve tried to show everything as detailed as possible in the video. The cylinder form makes it really picturesque and with lot of plants it really cheers up the space, a little ornament. I’ve been planning to try out the bio CO2 system a long ago and now it was a great opportunity to do so. It’s not a must to use the ONF flat Nano but if you wish to intake CO2, you will need a massive amount of light. (1300) In my opinion this lamp is really worth it’s price. You can find this vase in most of the flower stores. Since it’s really small I suggest to keep shrimps but nothing bigger in it. Shrimps like to live in small place. I planted quite a lot of fast growing plants to make the starting easier. Make sure to change 1-2 liters of water every day on the first week so you can avoid algae boom. Set the fertilizer for this. After 2-3 weeks you can move the shrimps in.

I am absolutely in love with you using HOB filters. I'm still living at home and I am putting some thought into expanding from my little ten gallon to maybe a nano (3-5 gal) addition with a single betta in mind. Would love to use a canister but I don't have the room or the money. Seeing what you did with your filter really opened my mind to the idea. Thanks!

Try a sponge filter. It's less turbulent for a single betta fish and costs a lot less than a HOB filter.

Hello. First of all, great arrangement and selection of plants. However, I have a question. In a similar tank (when it comes to capacity - about 8 liters) I also used the Neo CO2 system. It turned out that after 24 hours the CO2 level in the tank reached over 40 mg / l - for plants this value is great, but for shrimps it is probably too much. Did you somehow regulate the level of supplied CO2 from the Neo system? For example by adding less yeast?

cinemetography and production is absolutely amazing!! but i was wondering why the mat is important?
@petrescuework-difficultcas65815 жыл бұрын
Maybe to absorb vibration of the filter?
@druna45625 жыл бұрын
The mat is essential for all rimless aquariums because the surface of the glass is mostly uneven without you noticing it.. So without the mat all the pressure of the water will continually be applied to these points and eventually the glass will break....

How do you turn co2 flow at night?how do you put air in the tank at nights?how do you heat the tank and fix the temperature?do you use a bubble counter for using the right amount of co2?

Co2 runs in 0-24. I don’t use heater, but my room temperature is high. I use Dropchecker for correct CO2 level. I don’t use air pump, plants are produce lot of o2.
