I've never crocheted any sweaters before. However, I did make granny square vests back in the 70s when I was in junior high. In recent years I've been making shawls - mostly knit, but some crocheted like the virus shawl. I would make the sleeveless version of this sweater. It's the perfect topper for a sundress. And, it would be the right amount of warmth traveling into the summertime Arctic Tundra we call "grocery stores" 🥶

I crocheted a cardigan in one week last summer. The dress I had picked for a wedding needed a cardigan but I couldn’t find one that went with it well, so I ran and grabbed some cheaper cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby to was the perfect color and whipped up a basic cardigan.
