Great video. Scuf also has a problem recently where those plastic rings around the thumbsticks are too small and don’t fit tightly into the controller shell. This causes the thumbsticks to move around more than necessary as when the thumbsticks pushes against the rings, it moves the rings as well when it shouldn’t

You're GOATed for this. Can't believe it worked. Left stick was drifting terribly on my xbox scuf instinct pro. Even with the max dead zones in apex, the stick drift was rampant to the point that the cursor was useless when looting/inventory managing. Followed your vid for a few minutes and it looks to be resolved now as I can't replicate the stick drift issue was experiencing. Thanks for this trick!!

Those green rectangle pieces on the stick itself open like latches. Open them, take out the disc clean it out with alcohol, replace the disk in properly and close them both. Repeat on the other stick aswell and your drift will be gone! This works alot better and will last longer, this is just a part of controller maintenance!

@@Luvrro On the analog stick itself there's a green box where the stick comes out of. You need to open those latches in order to fix the stick drift, there are more videos on youtube about this problem. I hope this helps a little

I can’t believe this actually worked. I had minor stick drift on my Scuf but it became worse about a month ago and was a bit bummed considering at the moment I am full time student and can’t really afford another controller rn however as I was watching this video I said to myself it can’t be this easy. I grabbed some cue tips, rubbing alcohol, cleaned the analogs real good and blasted them with an air duster can to dry. I then tested my controller afterwards and zero stick drift. THANK YOU!

I’ve been having an issue where it jerks to the left but it’s not stick drift. If I leave the controller still it doesn’t move. It only starts jerking to the left whenever I use the analog stick

Everything about this is great, love this. Although one thing; Is there a way to open the green sensor compartments at all? Once you take off the thumb stick itself?

There is. Going in the sensors is the best way to clean analog because dust gets caught in there and the only way to get it out is going in the sensors. But you can make drift much worse if you aren’t careful.

gallade. No worries man. I haven’t done it in a while but here’s the video I used to guide me. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZrUeJ5voKmAnqc. He goes over what you need. Its actually pretty easy just scary because one mistake and its over. Really the only advice I can give you is be gentle. Since you have a scuf you can skip a bunch of steps and just remove the analog stick so you can just skip the video to 3:22.

What I do is take the thumb sticks apart and take a battery duster and clean it. Would that help prevent stick drift?
