Thanks for the video instructions. I bought mine from Joann's. I had used the Clover pom pom maker, but thought I'd give this one a try because it had so many more sizes plus a tassel maker. The instructions in the package was a bit faded but readable. I just prefer video instructions.

I am still working out how much yarn to leave in that initial part to get the tight knot in the middle of the pom pom ... I will get there. I was wondering if you ever used those discs and if you can show you making a pom pom with them please? I was wondering what they were for :)

Thanks for this. I received a HL gift card for Christmas and was thinking of getting this pom pom maker. Looks like it works and I am not worried about the waste as I have an idea to repurpose that. Don't really need the tassel maker at this time but it might come in handy someday. :) - Heidi

I use zip ties and its really tight no yarn comes loose.

It is hard to follow your hands when they are almost off the screen. Can't follow the instructions that way

I love making pom poms with this but I have trouble keeping the pompom from falling apart. Ill pull yarn tight as I can but sometimes it breaks before fastening. Is there a trick to keep the pom pom together without being able to pull out the yarn used for it?

I have seen some people use wax thread for tying it instead of the yarn. If that is not what you meant then my apologies. :)

I thought i did this wrong so i seached to find a video on how to make this, this is a big fail, I love the clove pom pom maker that is twicec as full since its a complete circle, this is only half a circle and not as full. I will be returning it to Joanns, the reason i bought this is because it had more size options. lesson learned. Also there is no lop sidedness on the clover maker. this one is not practical at all.
