Yes you can! All you need to do is work half of your project then fasten off. Next turn your project so it is the wrong way up but still with the right side facing, attach your yarn to the top right corner and work the pattern across your work as normal. I did this with my scarf😊. I am sure it would still look fine for a blanket and would look lovely with a simple shell edging up the sides. happy crocheting.
