What an elegant design. Exactly what I’m looking for to make an heirloom baby blanket in a 3 weight bamboo with great stitch definition. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

Nicely done. 👍 clear instructions, good visuals. Suggestion: this looks like it would be a "yarn eater." Maybe offer the size blanket completed and how much yarn used.
@lifeandyarn
@lifeandyarn Жыл бұрын
Ooo! Definitely not a yarn eater surprisingly! The EXhdc add a lot of bight to the stitches and the Sl Sts use minimal yardage. The largest size uses 12 skeins of Skein Tones (2220 yards) and is 57 by 68 inches! I actually just washed it and it grew substantially 😊

I'm glad that you have a tutorial because when you say front loop only, for me that looks like the back loop, according to other tutorials. I guess it depends on your perspective and it's good to know what yours is!

Wonderful teaching style and pattern - thank you! Please do more, I’m so happy to have found you!! I’ve been trying Tunisian crochet but that has made my thumb hurt😅 - I really wanted to achieve the look of a knit with crochet, and this is the ticket! I’m going to try just doing slip stitch row to every other row with other stitches too to see what happens!

Tunisian is beautiful! I am so happy you found the video helpful, I will be doing more and looking for other knit-like stitches.

For cleaner edge try to work in both loops of the last stitch it easier and gives better result 👍✌️🥰

That’s a great tip! However for this effect it can make the detail get lost at the ends 😊

This is a gorgeous stitch, and your video was nice and easy to follow. I have to admit, I'm not sure that it looks a lot like knitted fabric, but I'm probably coming from the wrong angle (as a relatively novice crocheter and a pretty experienced knitter). But that doesn't change the fact that the blanket in blush is absolutely gorgeous, and I've learned a lot from watching this tutorial. I'm glad I found your channel, and I'm going to take a look at your other videos, because there's so much I need to learn about crochet and I love the fact that they are so different.

Close up you can definitely tell it’s crochet, but the use of the FLO and Sl St give the illusion of knit from a distance 🥰 thank you for watching and enjoying my video!

I really like the drape of this, especially in something NOT a lighter weight yarn. Very pretty and refined finished piece. Well done! I'll probably be trying this first as a swatch in a patchwork/stitch sampler tote I am planning. The only bit of constructive criticism I could offer would be to give the dimensions of your finished product along with the yardage used. I find that knowing the weight and yardage of the original with measurements helps me tremendously when planning my projects. Thanks for such a clear tutorial. I truly appreciate not having loud music blaring throughout, as some other creators are prone to add.

Why do you slip stitch every other row? Couldn't you use another stitch instead of slip st
@lifeandyarn

The slip stitch and the FLO is what creates the illusion of the purl stitches like in knitting.
