I finally found something that worked. I supplemented the weight while I started my initial clone attack. Then I used the clone step once to buy time to heal and use my clones later in the fight. Didn't even have to use the Rock a second time. Good job on this guide!!!

Thank for sharing, Clone? (do you mean the AZURE DUST spell?), if so, maybe it is not so important to invest much spark to that Clone. For our opinion, You should Invest spark to PLUCK OF MANY Spell to MAXIMUM effect, and go to Medicine NPC invest Mind Core in DEF and MANA, also a little bit to HP too.

Only an issue if you "lock on", which is a subpar solution to consoles not having a fucking mouse to move properly lol. Play without Lock On, camera becomes your best friend.

I love this game but some of the bosses are just straight bullshit. They get super armor, lighting fast attacks, delay their attacks, long 10 string strikes that jolt ur camera, large area of attack moves, and insta grabs. Its impossible for someone to beat them first try. And u cant really read patterns because u CANNOT BLOCK. So you are guaranteed to get hit. Its soo cheap! I wish the game had a block button like ninja gaiden. Thank you for the tips

you can block him by using your original stance but your timing would need to be perfect i did be able to block him multiple time to mitigate the damage

@@spellsnare u are correct technically as u said the timing needs to be perfect. However that only reinforces my argument as u would need to know beforehand his moveset, his pattern and his attack speed. Which is impossible on first try. That's why I argued for a traditional Ninja gaiden block(which isn't invincible as it can be broken easily) since it'll give u an opportunity to read him. As it is the game is very unfair and cheap at times( I love this game but it definitely has flaws)

If you can get the spellbinder spell and respark to max it out that shit melts him especially wit heavy attacks. Just beat him 😅(after a few tries)

Oh my god. That was so insane. I finally beat this. Level 52 though. I tried every single strategy, even this. In the end. All I did was just straight up go all out offensive and trained myself to dodge almost everything. And I won like that. No strands. No immobilize. Just pure attacking and dodging. That was insane. I spent 3 hours on this boss. :(

OMG FINALLY I BEAT HIM, I used my pluck of many, then azure dust, then spam dodged with the occasional thrust stance or light attack for damage then used pluck of many and azure dust again to finish him off (I also fully upgraded my pluck of many and mostly upgraded my transformation too). Finally beat this boss after I saw a video showing how much damage unveiling strike can actually do if you max it out with the right gear.. did it 3 times and also wore see no evil headband to perfect dodge his attacks easier … the ashen slumber also did quite a lot of damage

Hey Everyone! I want to add to this video, here is what I did to finally beat this bastard: 1: Send out Pluck of Many. While they are fighting him, use a heavy attack from the PILLAR ATTACK from a distance. Causes huge damage. 2: Transform to RED TIDES and hit and dodge. 3: Dodge until the PLUCK OF MANY refills. (Note: If you have Might Medicine, this would be a good time to use it. Keep in mind it’s a one time use.) 4: Once Pluck of Many refills, send them back out and use the PILLAR STAFF heavy attack from a distance. Hope this helps

Oh, For us, This transformation spell is like a TANK, it slow and unresponsive, you just use it when you want to calm down the situation, The boss will hit your transformation form then you will gain SKILL, after that you can knock down the boss from his first skill. Also thank you so much for sharing your experience with this spell.

Thanks for your tip on clones - never thought it helped! i used a different setup, after >30 clone deaths. ring of fire + HP/MP drink = loads of heals 1. start with pluck of many > distract for 2x lv3 charge smash 2. cloud step to hide and lv3 charge smash. (charge crit rate + helps other spell cooldowns) 3. transform to stone to buy time/ smack him around a bit. 4. ring of fire for heals/ survival + wind tamer for survival + 3x snake turrets 5. cloud step ready again for charge smash. 6. gourd heal not even used once, and he is down to 30% hp or less. 7. duke it out with another ring of fire. probably get smacked around while drinking gourd. 8. if you are lucky, another cloud step > charge smash. 9. i won by having 2nd stone transform, final hit with "1" attack, still lots of heals left.

Exactly, that was IRON Pallets Effect. So sorry to hear that you can not get that effect, Anyone here got any idea? Anyway thank you for sharing

It's the iron pellet effect, it's a drink you buy from the Man-In-Stone after completing his quest line.

Holy s&%$ your strat worked! Part of my problem with this game is I don't know if I am too weak to take on some of these optional bosses or my strats/build need to be adjusted. For anyone curious, I beat him just now at level 58, Health 555, Mana 300, Attack 77, Defense 329. I also didn't know you could transform twice in one boss fight. I could have sworn I heard somewhere that it was limit one transform per fight. Getting the rock-head guy out twice was clutch, finished him off with my second transform doing the skullcrusher move.

@@yasahiroitou1307 you can upgrade your DEF = Unlock Medicine NPC at Chapter 2 and Readjust (Upgrade) your DEF by using MIND CORE.

You can also use spellbinder and raise all physical combat stats. It knocks him quite fast if you use strong attacks properly.

And when you figure out what he does with he attack pattern you will beat him just be careful to not get too greedy with your attack because he have a really short window to attack
