Um, at minute 14:34 you've just finished the first white row, then at 14:35 there's already a row of yellow edging, and a second row of white edging. What do I do in the first yellow edge row??!! Where do I do this "6 in the corner"?
@sherry70380mc11 жыл бұрын
I am wondering the same thing. I keep watching it over and over and I cant figure that part out
@jenniferramos684211 жыл бұрын
I've been watching trying to figure this out too... I'm lost, what did we miss?
@arb51911 жыл бұрын
After watching the video, you are simply slip stitching your yellow back in at the corner once you finish the first white row which is your chain 3 and single crochet like in Row 2. The yellow row is the same as Row 3 except you are crocheting 6 double crochet in each of the 4 corners to make it rounder instead of pointy square corners. Then you switch back to the white (Row 3). You keep switching back and forth until you are ready for the last row of the yellow - then instead of 6 double crochet in the corner you work 3 double crochet in each corner. Then you follow the instructions for the picot stitch trim. Does that help to you?
@wealthpossibilities10 жыл бұрын
Yeah I probably won't be watching any more of her videos - I think it's in poor taste to give the whole pattern in the video and then quit 3 rows from the end.

Hi Yolanda, I really love this blanket and am currently making a version. That said, I wonder if you are aware that you are missing a section of instruction? I have gone back about 10 ten times, and it is definitely not there. I'm speaking about the first row of yellow around the edge, which includes the increase (to six in corners) that you mention later, when doing the second row. The video jumps from first row of white edge, to second row of white. Anyhow, as I'm a fairly advanced hooker, I can sort of figure this out by catching glimpses as you hold the work up, and working it out myself. Just thought that some beginners might be a bit confused and thought I should bring it to your attention.

When do u put 6 DC in the corners?
@arb51911 жыл бұрын
In the sample swatch she did you do the 6 DC (yellow) in each corner in the row immediately following the first white row. So after the white row that is really Row 2 around the entire blanket you change to the yellow row which is Row 3 but doing 6 DC in the corners.

so yes - there are rows missing - it seems that after the white row (min' 14:40) you continued with a yellow row which is 3dc in each gap - BUT there are 6 in the corners, but i dont know if there is any row between them (meaning 3dc + eyes + 3dc) or 6dc and that's it and then you made another white row and another yellow with corners. i wish it was in the tutorial, cause you spent so mach time on the begining,,, and where it gets diffrent there is a gap thank you for your help

I'm doing this blanket for my grandson due in October. I'm almost done. I just started the second color, and as a lot of other viewers I don't see anywhere in this video you showing the 6 in the corners. And like others around minute 14:00 in the video there is already a few rows of white in the blanket. You skipped a lot in the finishing part of this project. I'm very disappointed that you will not answer your viewers questions. I'll figure this out on my own and will not be following your work anymore.

Kimberly V .... I have followed the pattern several times... I hear you....aways always just 3.... I think she meant to say-its Not like most other patterns, which is usually 6 or their specified amount of stitches in a corner....corners can be a little tricky just a bit of a looser hold will make the corners lay flat.... Try Again....you will Love the end result...Hope this helps and you have finished a blanket... really Beautiful results

I have made many blankets off of your pattern Yolanda, thank you so much for sharing. We have a baby Blanket Ministry at our church that we make baby blankets for the local hospital and everytime I use your pattern I just get so many compliments, it's an easy pattern to do and it's beautiful. Whatever color combinations I use it has turned out beautiful. We received yarn in 2016 from one of the local Christian schools for their Community project it was a kindergarten class and one of the yarns that was gift to us was apple red and no one in the group wanted to try to make a baby blanket out of it so I kept looking at it and kept looking at it and finally decided to use your pattern and do it with the red and the green border for Christmas I came up with some holly leaves and berries and it turned out the cutest. Thank you once again for sharing your patterns this is one of my favorites. God bless you always. Gloria

Thank you so much. I'm brand new at crocheting and I'm also a new grandma. Your instructions were so clear and easy to follow that my grandson's blanket was a success!♡ I'm hooked (haha! no pun intended) and am ready to start my next project. Thanks again!

Love her work. I did pretty good on the blanket (gave Ms. Yolanda a credit), and hat. Still not enough courage to start a little baby sweater. Great instructions, great teacher! thank you!

This was the very first blanket pattern I did when learning to crochet years ago. Made all my kids a big bed blanket with it using chunky wool in UK and size 6 hook. Such an esy pattern and grows quickly. Easy to put any border on as well. Thank you Yolande!

Yolanda, thank you so much for this tutorial! I was searching for an unusual stitch to use for a man's scarf, and the stitch you have in this video fit the bill VERY nicely! I was told by a friend that "it's an elegant scarf." It has enough "boxiness" to be masculine, without the heaviness of the basket weave. I really appreciate your sharing this with us!
