Many of the plastic connectors failed on my install. I removed all of them and replaced them with 22ga tinned copper wires soldered to each strip and then sealed each joint with marine heat shrink tubing. None of the soldered joints have failed. Be sure to use 3M adhesive mounting tape as the tape on some LED strips is cheap and will fail. Clean the application area with alcohol and heat the adhesive strip with a hair dryer for best adhesion. Get rid of those plastic snap on connectors!

Great video. It appears that most light systems are ac into the 12 v transformer. Are you simply connecting the transformer to the battery...and does this affect the ability to change the light colors on the remote? Thanks!

Follow along on the video. He clearly states he's connecting the power wires to the underwater lights. Thus the switch for the underwater lights will also turn no the LED strip.

My biggest challenge is getting the strips to remain glued to the fiberglass. The heat and the rain breaks down that glue and they fall right off. What are you using to flue the strips to the wall of your boat?

In my install, since the lights are encased in silicone, I used a bead of silicone. Ignore the tape that comes on the strips. Just remove the backing paper and put silicone right on top of the tape and stick the lights to the surface. You will probably need some blue tape to hold them in place while the silicone cures. 4 years and no problems.

Where can I purchase that light set? I can’t seem to find it.

What's the point of you don't show the lights on in the dark to see the vibes?

Too bad that the lights are defective "out of the box" as seen at 4:27. It's typical for all of these Chinese brands to have defective connections and weak tape. They are sold as waterproof but when you open the instructions it says "inside use only".

Went thru that and you never showed the finished product after it got dark... Why no product links? Poorly done, imo.

You go through the effort of connecting wires in the engine room but then screw the transformer on the outside. It’s not a good look imo, should have put transformer in the engine room as well

This is bad advice. Marine installs should have minimal house drilled and that strip light should have been mounted under a gunwale or somewhere that’s it’s not completely visible

All boats don't have that option to hide. I know my cabin boat doesn't
