Awesome risers and video !! I would recommend anyone using wood risers, to sand the surface of the boards to make them smooth before you paint them. Also, once it’s thoroughly dry, lightly sand between each coat of acrylic sealant to make the surface buttery smooth.

I was gonna 3D print my risers for the lighter figurines and such, but man, this is really nice. I definitely wanna do this for anything heavier.

Great project! I’ll try this out, much faster than shelves from Moducase!

I decided to make the riser. So I bought the extrusions from the American buyer but I just got an email from them saying that the smallest cuts they could do is 100mm?
@PopCultureLivingRoom6 ай бұрын
Man, I'm sorry. I haven't ordered anything under 100mm from Open Builds so I haven't run into that issue. I was about to order aluminum from them for my new The Platform display to see the difference in cost with Ooznest. I just checked the FAQ and It's on there. I added that info to the description of each riser video. Even with the higher shipping, I mostly get my aluminum from Ooznest because of how easy it is to use their website. I know the smallest cut they do is 40mm. Thanks for the info. And again, I apologize.

@@PopCultureLivingRoom but in the video you said you got them cut at 38mm and treaded by them?

Where did you place the washers between the bolt head and the board or between the board and extrusion?
@PopCultureLivingRoom6 ай бұрын
@@daltoncason6948 Hi Dalton. The washer goes between the bolt head and the board. So you slide the washer on the bolt and then slide the bolt into the hole in the board . Hope that helps!

sorry english is not my first language, what does it mean "you need to thread one side"? is it to shave off 38mm of it? a direct translation tells me it means to insert...

A screw has threads. I have attached a picture: essentracomponents.bynder.com/transform/66df3c0e-1f14-43be-965b-f7b89996b5c0/EssLH-RH-Fastener_1460x500px-A For a screw to be able to be screwed into the aluminum, ridges need to be made inside the aluminum so the screw will screw into it. Inside the the hole of this nut is what threading is: i5.walmartimages.com/seo/10pcs-M4-Thread-Hammer-Head-T-slot-Nut-20-Series-Aluminum-Profile-Drop-in-T-Nuts_8b671be3-150d-4fd3-a94a-15638baad03f.dbf7b8988bec8f275856bd9211defd16.jpeg?odnHeight=768&odnWidth=768&odnBg=FFFFFF I hope it makes sense. I will add the explanation to my live stream this weekend. Thank you again for watching!!!!
