What did you use to taper the edges? They look perfect.

I used a hobby knife to shape the bottoms.

You do know that styrofoam will deteriorate over time. It is wise to seal the complete piece in glue to prevent the deterioration of the foam. I use real rust I make from 0000 steel wool & vinegar. It's more of a deeper red rust color. If you've ever seen iron ore you;ll see that it's more reddish than orange. Cheers from eastern TN

I got the scenery solutions wash at a model shop near me. I make the 50/50 glue/water mix in an old glue bottle so I can use that bottle to apply the mix. The sand I sifted from a bag of sand I got at the local home improvement store. Hope that helps you some.
