chicken coaster- row one: mc c2 13dc (ch2 is apart of the 1st dc) , sl into 1st dc (13) row two: ch2 (once again this ch2 is apart of the first dc) dc inc 13, sl into first dc (26) row 3: ch2, dc, dcin until you reach 33 stitches (youll see you didnt complete the full circle) row 4: ch2 and turn work, FRONT LOOP ONLY (3 dc, dcinc) row 5: ch1 and turn work, sc1, skip 1, dc6 in 1st, skip 1, sc1, (skp 1, 6dc, skp 1, sc 1) x 8 on that last sc1 make it a sc inc, then another sc inc, skip 1, sc, hdc, skip 1, 6 dc, skip 1, sc row 6: sl all around hopefully this helps some of you :-)

Thank you, this is such a cute pattern. ♥️ 🐓 Just a suggestion, if you’re having a hard time seeing the stitches and the instructor, try slowing down the playback speed… I put my playback speed to 0.25X and it really helped. Today I made my first chicken! 👏🏻 😉

How do you do the beak? You didn't explain how to do the beak.

I just made one. It took me about an hour. It was very hard to follow and I had to redo some parts because I just couldn’t follow what I was supposed to do. Turned out cute but I had to kinda make some stuff up as I went.

The piece itself is the best I have seen so far. So it's upseting to see that the tutorial on how to make it is actually awful.. I can't tell what you are doing and the on screen descriptions are extremely lacking. I know how to crochet decently but I still can't tell what is going on in this video. I would highly suggest either redoing the video or making a written pattern please.

i see that some people are having trouble on the beak so heres what i did: 3 sc, sl st, 2dc, sl st hope this helps

The written directions and the on-screen directions do not match. For example, in Row 5, the repeat in the on-screen directions says sk1, 6dc, sc. The written directions say: sk1, 6dc, sk1, sc1. This is a huge proofreading error and should have been corrected.

So when it says 1: 13 Double Crochet, does that mean you need to do 13 more crochet? So you have a total of 14?
