I did this one yesterday. I almost couldn't find the tutorial today because mine looked so different! haha. I need to practice my mountains, do 100 mountain repetitions or something. They were so bad that I turned them into little domey hills with bizarre snow patterns. I decided that my landscape is on another planet and I need to make up geological explanations for my mountains' non-cragginess, ha-ha. Note to self, don't try to keep up with Lindsay when you're painting. Watch, then pause and paint SLOWLY. I really loved my sky though. Your technique was wonderful. I thought, oh man, this looks like a kid's coloring book, but when dry, it was outstanding!. You have amazing instincts, make things look so easy. Love to watch and learn.

I have been "studying" under you for a while now....am taking your watercolor landscape course. This was first time I felt ready to try a full landscape! I did it, am delighted with my painting 🤗🤗, I also know enough to fix a few things next time!!! I cannot thank you enough. ❤️ The Canson heritage paper.... not sure it's cheaper. Went to the actual Blick store in north Atlanta cause I didn't want to wait on shipping...bought a 20 page block -- $44. But I like it better than arches ... now can't wait to do another painting! Thank you for your consistency and hard work. I watch all your videos even if it's not something I intend to create .... I always learn something. Thank you!

I love, love, love this one, especially the trees. Beautiful. At first I wasn't sure I liked the texture of this paper but it really enhanced the granulation which I really like. I was also unsure about the color of the water but once the greens were in, it was perfect. I was amazed at how much lighter these paints dried. I'm glad you so enjoyed painting this scene and decided to go where the painting took you. I sure enjoyed watching. A must try. Thanks for this one! For anyone reading this, I HIGHLY recommend Lindsay's Landscape Class.

Lovely painting. Where I live I don't see those colours and our mountains would have been hidden behind the trees. I was interested that you use so much Ultramarine. Years ago when I painted tropical rainforests I used massive amounts of Ultramarine blue. I'm very sleepy right now as it's a little after 1 am here. but I've enjoyed staying up to watch you do this painting. I didn't paint along, however watching has encouraged me to get back to doing more landscape painting.

I love that; especially those trees, even the red ones. Sometimes I see orange evergreens here in WA. Probably because of a pest problem; but, it rains so rarely here in the summer, the young evergreens sometimes struggle.

BTW, Dick Blick and Jerry's Artarama are selling the 12 sheet pads of Arches and Canson Heritage for almost the same prices: 9x12 is $14.43 Arches, $14.40 CH; 10x14 is $19.74 Arches, $19.20 CH. Hi Lindsay, I have a question I hope you might know the answer to. I was watching a channel where the woman was showing her new watercolor supplies. She showed the tubes the paints came in but said she didn't like storing the tubes so she put the tube paints into one of those little white plastic watercolor palettes. But she gave no explanation as to how that works! Do they harden like pan paints that you moisten with water? It looked so nifty as opposed to using the tubes but she didn't say a word only showed it stored in the little wells of the palette. I asked in the comments how that worked, but no reply now in over two weeks. I would like to try this method with my tube watercolors and was wondering if you know how it works or if it really works as a storage. If you've never heard of this, I understand. I never saw it before either! But if it works.....I sure would like to give it a try! Thank you if you can help : )
