Lindsay, this is great! I think it’s one of your most instructional watercolor (beginners) tutorial. I really appreciate how you explained and showed the different amounts of water for different areas of your painting. As always, there’s just something magical about how amorphous shapes turn into a representation of a true scene. Thank you. Can’t wait to try this and practice some techniques.

Thanks Lindsay. It was the hardest thing to learn to blot. Maybe because I don't have much room. I hold the paper towel in my hand and have a microfiber cloth on my leg. Unless I'm standing. Which helps me to be more relaxed and less tight through the arm and hand.Thanks again for the lesson. Love them. 👍😁💙💙

Just gorgeous, Lindsay! I love this one. Water control has been on my mind lately, so it's funny others are thinking that, too. Basically, whenever I try to put down a good bit of paint onto wet paper, it's never enough; it never flows like when you are showing it. No matter what paper, cotton or pulp and no matter what brush, synthetic, Mimik and sable. I guess I just need lots more practice. And oh, my, but I almost choked when you wasted all that paint in the beginning, and almost choked again when you said it was Winsor & Newton! Lol

I picked up that WN palette half price about when you did this video. Absolute bargain, great colours except the viridian which really doesn’t like to rewet. It’s now 3 times what I paid. Happy painter. Love the video wish I’d seen it when I was setting out, really great explanation and demo of water control. 👍🚿💦
@thefrugalcrafter3 жыл бұрын
Awesome deal! Pre wet the viridian and you can even use a stiff brush like the cheap stiff plastic bristles ones with metal handles they sell for "crap" jobs at the hardware store to scrub the paint and get it reconstituted as not to harm your nice watercolor brushes.

Great video with excellent suggestions. The way you explained and demonstrated the brushes and the idea of using a spray bottle were very helpful. The mountains seemed a little unfinished to me. Would you normally add more color? So much white in the mountains looked like snow, but there was no snow anywhere else. Just asking 😁
