Awesome Sauce Keisha! My daughter has locks a little past bra strap length. She's performing in a musical, "She Loves Me", today through Saturday and she needed a 1930's hair style and I was looking for a way to curl her hair quickly this morning before sending her off to the performing arts camp. This Headband Curls video was just perfect! Even to keep in the headband style where you stop half way! She didn't have a chance to participate in the styling workshop at the performing arts camp she's with, and I know that had we not done our own search and had I not done this for her at home, they would not have known what to do with her hair...

Very nice! I like the locs while styled with the headband. Many moons ago, I used a tube top to roll my hair and had the same style. Now I have locs and I'm always looking for creative styles. I will definitely try this. BTW: love the hair color. Thanks for your video!

Omg Thank you so much!! I hate sitting for hours to try to curl my hair. I have tried this. My locs are almost shoulder length and bulky at the end so I'm not sure how it'll come out but I'll master this style. Perfect for after a wash

Probably use a 2nd rubber band specifically for the back locs to make the waves like the front

Hi I have a tip so you can get the curls on you long locks. You can use a stockings (pantyhose, the area right before they start to make the pantie section. I guess you would say that is the upper thigh.) instead of a head band; the stockings have more stretch than the head band and you would never pop it.

I tried headband curls a few years ago when my locs were shoulder length and liked the results. Watching this is making me wonder if using multiple headbands staggered in rows might work for those of us with longer locs?

lol yeah, mine are too long too....but they did ok. I will say for longer locs it's really cute out and if you use two headbands you can have two rolls in the back. I've even made a separate bun with hair that didn't fit. Also it's fun because you can get your front locs more curly and keep a lot of length. Also since my ends are a lot lighter than my roots it kinda has a pretty striped look too.

because my hair is a bit longer, I did 4-5 two strand twists and then did the headband curls. It helps with stragglers.
