Precious video👍. Sorry, I'm a beginner in the art of knife sharpening... I'd ask you the purpose of using 2 different types of sandpaper, as well as why in your video (as in many others) you use the sharp blade to pass over the leather. Thanks in advance for the clarification🙏

Using two different types of sandpaper helps achieve a finer edge on the knife. The coarser sandpaper is used first to shape and remove imperfections, while the finer sandpaper refines the edge and smooths it out. Passing the sharp blade over the leather, known as stropping, helps polish the edge and remove any remaining burrs, resulting in a sharper and more durable edge.
