The point about posture is so important. I'm currently reading about pattern making and have learned that fashion is actually always designed for an upright posture. For me, there is a nice circle - stand up straight so that the clothes fit well and you feel good - when you feel good you stand up straight and the clothes fit well. Thanks for your videos Audrey!

Thank you for talking about matching metals! This is a detail I’ve also noticed over the past couple years, and I feel like it really makes a difference. Sometimes when I want to mix some metals between belt and bag, go for jewelry that combines gold and silver.

Audrey Hepburn used to style her button downs like this, wrapped and tucked. So it’s a classic way of styling because of her… that’s how I learned it…. It suits my body structure a lot. I find that wearing a cami under or pinning it to my bra or cami prevents malfunctions or too much gapping, so I can go about my day with ease. If you are large busted a safety pin will be your friend :) ❤ This technique is trickier with stripes esp as stripes don’t often look good on film. They can distort . The wrap and tuck looks a bit better with literally any other print…. Considering it’s a tricky look, I think she looks lovely. She certainly has the figure to pull off anything !

I do like your videos A LOT ❤ may I add that I can't believe the jewellery is sustainable. I live in Vienna and we had a scandal about a jewelley company which uses the same claims and I learned a lot. And I am friends with some smaller owners. Firstly precious metalls are always recycled, silver obv as well. Ethically sourced tells us consumers exactly nothing. And I have to say that I see codes for Monica everywhere. How is it possible to produce a lot of jewellery sustainable? The Austrian company (Bruna The Label) could not explain.
@JBaxter-pi8oj Жыл бұрын
Thank you for that information. You are right when you say a lot of companies make green/ sustainable claims without having done anything to merit it. There's a lot of research required before one can make a purchase these days but it's so important to do it!

Yes- it does look ridiculous. It made me laugh. 😂 but I have to add that with fashion you get to decide what risks you take- some may like it , some won’t. And guess what?! You are free to express what you like and don’t like. That’s the point right?

Oh! I love how Audrey styled an otherwise standard button down by wrapping it in front. To all you very prudish haters… that is NOT open to the navel. It’s mid chest. And no doubt she’s using fashion tape to prevent wardrobe malfunctions. No need to clutch your pearls. Geesh.
@camelotfeeney903 Жыл бұрын
I agree 100% . What navel, I was looking to see what they were so upset about and it’s not even close to her navel. What is wrong with some people. But it’s ok to wear a very low cut dress. Makes no sense at all. I guess these comments are from extremely conservative women.

Imlook too much like what I am a retired univerity professor in a blazer with buttoned up shirt...those days are over...I l8ve blazers but now try to feminize them..they feel like a uniform to me after decades wearing them.

Ummmm, nothing to do with prudish. Feel free to wear nothing if that's what you like. Please, do that and prove how completely uninhibted you are. Audrey just looks like she forgot to finish dressing. But please feel free to prance around in all stages of undress you think it important to display. Can we please point out that the hair in face vs hair pushed back was also backed by more skin showing as well so it actually kind of takes away from the point of the hair adjustment? When I adjust my hair, does i also need to suddenly adjust my shirt as well to make it work?

I want to think that Audrey has a tank top underneath she forgot to tell us about. Given she has styled the shirt so that it wraps and doesn’t show the skin that shouldn’t be shown - just the suggestion negates everything Audrey has ever said about dressing with class. It resembles the teen who’s desperately trying to attract the attention of the boys. I hope she will edit and reissue this video. I missed everything else in it because my attention stopped at this very uncomfortable and disappointing distraction.
@DC-jz7io Жыл бұрын
Yes. From the first glance at the video still on the KZbin homepage, I was like, whoah, how can that photo be the one Audrey is suggesting is the way to instantly look better? And then in every shot there's a different version of the button styling. It just doesn't look wearable. Audrey? What's going on? I love the trend of creative buttoning. I don't know much about it but it feels like it's an extension of wearing oversized or "boyfriend" clothing. But there's an art to it. Maybe a dedicated video on this subject? I know that Audrey knows that we need to be able to move confidently in our clothing, not be concerned that something, or too much, is showing. This is NOT shaming, Audrey, just honest feedback. I love and support you in your work.
