I messed up my lower back during this last summer when I was sparring. I fell and landed square on my lower back. It has not felt the same since. My mom is a PT and she checked to see if my back was in which was but I was insistent that something else was wrong. She checked my hips and said I tested positive for a spring test on my right side which is pinching the IS nerves. I really have struggled with motivation to workout because I have been afraid of the pain it would cause me. I went through this video and feel little to no pain in that area. Thank you so much. I love being fit and staying active and hope this is my way back to where I used to be with my body.

#hii kino, I have started to follow your guideline for doing yoga and I feel very confident and good. thank you very much for that . I have one doubt that in which way I should follow your session, I mean right now I am just picking up any random video from biggner playlist everyday.will you please tell me what should be the proper way? I have just started to do yoga so you can consider me as a biggner.

Wow! that "Om' chant sounds like some one blowing a conchshell! Thanks, Kino. However, the practice of Yoga itself is a meditative one;, I would imagine. Sometimes, the animated, 'Aerobic' brand of Yoga on KZbin seems to be at odds with the intention or spirit of Yoga.. perhaps doing fewer movements, but with more awareness while doing them may be better?...due apologies if this is doesn't resonate with the majority..Once again, thanks for taking the time out to make these videos..

Hi Kino, I cannot dream of having my shin parallel in pidgeon without literally pushing the respective foot down with my hand and holding everything in place. Would you recommend doing that, or should I then bend the knee more, so that I can actually lean forward? Thank you so much for your beautiful presence! **Fedi

Hi i have a question: i realize that the weather affects a lot of my capability to practice. now i moved into a cool areas (>1,200 meters). in cold morning and even during the day it's harder to open hip or stretch the muscles. i feel a bit hurt when do downward facing dogs so it's kinda difficult to practice the more advanced one. do you have any advice? thanks a lot for your work! :)

Don't force it, just let your body adjust to the different weather.

I'm sorry I yelled at you during that pigeon pose. No, seriously, thank you for all those vids. 2 weeks doing that, I've seen a great improvement. I checked your website, but I don't know what dvd I should start with. I'm doing gymnastics but doing ring training doesn't really help for my hips as you can imagine. I need to gain flexibility because my press handstand are horrible, only strength and lack of flexibility in my hips and hamstrings. I'm asking because I can't see the description of your dvds with firefox. I don't know if it's a bug or me. Thank you anyway, you're awesome.

Etymology. The name comes from theSanskrit words Shirsha (शीर्ष, Śīrṣa) meaning "head", and Asana (आसन, Āsana) meaning "posture" or "seat".
