Seen them live twice in the last 2 weeks. They opened at a big venue for Greta Van Fleet and blew the crowd away. Then seen them 2 days ago at The Cobra Lounge in Chicago, a super small venue. I’ve been going to concerts for almost 40 years and I can’t remember being more excited to see a band live, except the KISS reunion tour in 1996. These kids literally rule the room. Love them.

The first time I heard them was in October at SongByrd in Washington, DC. They opened for a band I also had never heard and did not like very much. At first, I wondered where the bass was, but the waveforms turned out to be a necessary part of the whole. It wouldn’t be what it is if it was something else. And my psychotic preoccupation with bass is in me and other humans may not have that and I should let them be. The music itself is dirty and electric. It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Like a ghost passed through my body and climbed on my back like a backpack. The music is original and full of energy. I am listening to at least a song a day. Like vitamins. I love everything about this.
