Are you kidding? NOT natural at all. I can't recall ANYONE speaking that way. Slow and too many words. We say: Un cafe, un noir, un express, un filtre ou un creme etc... Dans un cafe on rentre et on s'assoie sois meme ou on veux ou directe au comptoir. No one in Paris speaks so slow and in short sentences Un Parisien

What I find particularly helpful about this video that practically no one else does is that it teaches me what to listen for! You can find countless examples of things to say during travel, how to order coffee, how to ask about price, how to ask for directions, in every language...but rarely do they prepare you for the answer you might hear, or the greeting you might receive! Taking notes on these videos in preparation for my first trip to France soon. Merci beaucoup!!!

If the waiter angrily shouts:"deux pieds, deux mains." (two feet, two hands) He means he has not enough limbs to serve you immediately. Just after lunch, the waiters have to serve a big lot of coffees at the same time. So there is one waiter running and another acting as a robot near the machine. They use a short code to transmit the orders:"5 dont 1, plus 1 au nombre" It's part of the show but do not even dream to follow. Sometimes Parisian waiters like to play the Parisian waiter (Jean-Paul Sartre wrote a philosophical essay about this!)

I lived in France as a student and a teacher, and one of my favorite times was when - and this was 30 years ago when French people did not speak English so well - my buddy went into a French shop, where the proprietor had not been friendly. Browsing back in those days wasn't encouraged. You come in, you buy. And he said, "Hi, I wanna buy some eau." It didn't go well after that, but it was funny.
