I never clicked one of your episodes so fast! Sono sud africana, and I studied Theater, specializing in Dècor and Prop making. In our first year, our very first subject we studied, was Comedia dell'Arte! It was so difficult to find accurate information about it in our country, and the internet wasn't so well populated with information about it then as it is now, so this art form was a bit shrouded in mystery and magic for us! We each were assigned a character to make a mask of, and I was assigned Scaramuccia. I'll never forget that first few months of my studies into this beautiful and fascinating subject and style of Theatre.

Molto interessante !! Sono stato a Napoli lo scorso ottobre e ho visto questo famoso naso ben lucidato. Anche perché in Quebec (provincia francofona del Canada) negli anni '60 - quando ero giovane - c'era un programma televisivo che si chiamava Piccolo e aveva come protagonisti personaggi della Commedia dell'arte, che non conosco bene, quindi è una bellissima riunione nostalgica a cui mi hai invitato stasera con questo podcast. Grazie di cuore 🧡

Arlecchino è diventato anche un personaggio della cultura russa. Non storicamente ma da parecchio tempo. Uno: è un pesonaggio della fiaba «Buratino» (che è un variante di Pinocchio), lui è una bambola, sempre triste che ama Malvina, una bambola ragazza a capelli azzurri. Due: c'è una canzone famosissima (anche di origine italiano ma cantata in russo): Ah Arlecchino, Arlecchino, devi essere ridicolo per tutti, c'è un solo premio per te - le risa.
