Sorry to inform you, your little Vox solid-state amp in the corner has nothing to do with the huge Vox tube amps from the 60s. The only similarity is the gold logo. :-) But, you are doing a great job. I will look for an EZ Strong as my gear is not so heavy. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the video. Can you easily pull off the barrel or is it recommended to have a follow focus with an easy rig? Trying to visualise the orientation and whats the least awkward position for the wrist.
@ebourcier Жыл бұрын
I'd say it depends on the lens more than anything - stills lenses I tend to pull off the barrel, cine lenses I tend to use a FF.

Hi awesome video, I just received my easyrig mini max with stabil light arm, I understand that the top arm needs to be in the “middle” balance holding the gimble+camera, but what about the back knob that controls the rope tension, what is the proper amount of tension of the rope? Are you supposed to let the rope be loose enough so the camera drops slightly? Or super tight? please help and thank you

So I've used both an actual easy rig. And I own a flow line from pro. Rig, which would be considered one of those knock off brands and honestly. The easy rig is a lot more comfortable. However, the flow line still gets the job done. And it does so for a fourth of the price. And it is built like a tank. The longevity wise you're probably gonna get 2 years out of it. Versus an easy rig, which I know. Some people who have been running the same easy rig for 5 years. So if you're broke right now, but you're using a heavy a** Rig that you need to get some support for right now. But you don't want a stomach, you know? Renting an easy rig for 70 or $80 a day. Every time you have to shoot, it's perfectly reasonable for you to go for something like the flow line. Or something else? However, at the end of the day, if you have to choose between the two and budget is no option, then of course pick the easy rig

Just got my EasyRig and tried walking with it... LOL! Needless to say my first thought was "i need to look up how to walk with this thing"... I guess it's just going to be more of a portable weight stand for my Ronin because I can't set that thing down so at least the easyrig can hold it for me when i need to rest my arms. i'm sure i'll get better at it though. the easyrig feels very well made for sure!

Hey Evan, very informative! Could you explain what you mean by big camera setup vs a small one? Like where are the thresholds? I am a new RED Scarlet-W owner and am in the process of rigging it out with the production module and other accessories. I'm looking at the Minimax in terms of price but also have the same philosophy of buying the equipment that will last.

Hey.... Cheapskate over here... just to drop off some testimony. Watched your video because I got one of those Chinese knock offs to mount my camera... All was well and good. until I watched your video, learned how to operate the guy (great info btw), and shortly thereafter realised that the cable on mine started to fray... Thank GOD it went bust after only a couple test shoots... It's already been approved for returns and as soon as I get the money I'm gunning for the MiniMax.... which btw... do you have any input on? Lesson learned.... Easy Rig was not something I should've cheaped out on.... damn it...
