Solid info Josh! Now I just need to sell my shoulder rig and get me a minimax :)
@JoshHodgman3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Yer I love the minimax. A great investment if your camera gets a little heavy over time.

Thank you for the video but I found the test video to be too shaky. If that is how the footage looks then it does not deserve the expensive price it quotes.

I agree the easyrig is more camera Support then stabiliser it does always take lots of practice to make perfect. But the main goal of an easy rig is to shift the weight from your back onto your hips which allows you to shoot for a lot longer than you normally could not be exhausted at the end of the day

With the easy rig and gimbal, it becomes perfect

I'm here trying to find a video of an overweight DP using the easy rig so I can know if it'll be alright for me or not lmao. Everyones fit using the system.

Hey mate if this isn’t a joke first time using an easy rig I was 20Kg heavier and it worked. I also now some bigger bois who have used the east rig. It’s pretty good

@@JoshHodgman isn't a joke at all bro lol, Im 300 Pounds an run around with a 10pound + set up for 6-7 hours straight been looking at the easy rig but could never find any bigger guys using it.

No worries I feel ya bro. I recon best idea maybe to hire one and see how it goes. If it works I think it will do the trick for sure.

Nice! Does a C200 + V-Mount + 24-105mm suit the minimax?
@JoshHodgman4 жыл бұрын
It should be sweet, I've personally run a Red Scarlet with a 24-105 and v mount on a minimax and it was all good (There is some B-roll of it in the intro I am laughing). I believe with a C200 and 24-105 its only about 4.5kg allowing an extra 2.5kg to be added. Large v mounts will be up to 1kg in weight so you should be sweet :)

Hey mate, I think it comes down to how much you think you will be rigging it bigger. If you are going to be adding follow focuses, bigger lenses, monitors etc. It may be worth it. Alternatively you could rent a minimax and rig out your camera how you like and have a better understanding if it will work for you.

10:42 just from looking at this footage I am not sure if you’ve used the ronin correctly. The Ronin vibrates because there is no crossbar installed on that ronin cage. This thing is so important to provide stiffness to the gimbal.

I use cine saddle, works almost the same, but more stable IMO.
@JoshHodgman2 жыл бұрын
True but I guess the main reason I favour is the easy rig is super mobile and saves my back lol
