Good video, couldn't see the finish on the prints. I'm flipping between a small micro printer or a mid size. I just want to print fairly small items so I don't need a big printer. But if you do then you get a nano, it's too small. I'd like to have seen a 120*120*150 size which seems to be about right and common. The other drawback is that it's enclosed, and what mods can be done. It's about £75, the ender 3 pro about £170. So there is a money difference and I see some claim the ender being 100 times better.... But is it? This is a great desktop printer, the ender is a stand printer, but then I have a big desk.... Print times are a big thing. I think this is a short list... Also check out the geetech a180. Slightly bigger.. and around the same price point.

Cute but no screen no part cooling and no heated bed is a bummer. Gives up a lot to the ender 3. 3d printing is a hobby no matter what printer you get so the "simplicity" isn't that much of a benefit.

hey vlad can i ask you a question?? i am brand new and considering this as i just want to make some small items, basically x braces for my small inductrix fpv drone and maybe a gopro angled mount for my drones, would this be large enough to print those types of items? the inductrix is the smallest drone i fly love it with some mods for 5 minute flights but please help me decide... would this printer be able to handle printing a stiff X type brace for the inductrix specifically and mayb my drones a bit larger along with gopro mounts that are at an angle so when im full out going forward the gopro will be level instead of looking at the ground.. could it handle this type of items? i am patient a slow printer wouldnt be a deal breaker, just want something dependable and able to print these small definately desktop items... please help me!! thanks..

If anyone is brand new to the hobby and is looking to get this if I may highly suggest looking at the Ender 3 pro it's $200 and I would say as a BRAND NEW 3D printing beginner myself the Ender 3 is a much better purchase and gives you a whole lot more features and convenience than this E3D Nano. Thanks for taking a look at this little machine though, always cool to see how they all work in their own ways!

Very nice little printer, wonder how good this would be for the Tabletop gaming enthusiast that just wants to make minis for his game? Can you add something like a Battletech Mech to your test so you can see how it does with mini printing? Also curious how it does when you move to a generic filament instead of their provided.

Not to be a "negative nanny" but this toy printer is a joke. Slow (really slow!), small capacity, no heated bed, no LCD, and marginal print quality. For someone who is new to 3d printing, this may be a way to get started at minimal cost. It reminds me of the "Easy bake oven". The performance, features and capacity are so poor that anyone who continues to use it will quickly outgrow it. My advice -- bypass this product. For just a few more bucks the Ender 3 is a much better value, and a better investment.
@RCoryCollins
@RCoryCollins 5 жыл бұрын
I'm curious as to what the value of having an onboard LCD would be? I'm not a 3d printer owner (yet, might not ever be lol) but I have built several 3 axis plotters from scratch and I think I would find working with a LCD screen interface, as well as using a micro SD card a liability rather than an asset. I have been watching many of these reviews and shopping around sites like Amazon and such, and I do agree with your assessment of the value. Just a quick check on his link shows this printer's price point is @200usd, and the Ender 3 as well as the Monoprice Mini and Delta Mini are all three close to that figure, yet seem to give more bang for the buck. I think that there is a market for this type of machine, but not at that price. After all, there was a market for "Easy Bake Ovens". Hell, I think I had one, growing up. :) Maybe a better description would be an expensive "Easy Bake Oven", lol.

@@RCoryCollins Hi there, good comments. Many users find the LCD and its associated knob/button to be invaluable. Besides reading out the temperatures, fan status and more, it's an easy way to select parts to print, monitor and pause/stop jobs, change filament etc. I wouldn't buy or build a printer without it. I used to control my printers via USB from my PC, but soon found out it was much quicker and more reliable to use the LCD and SD card. That's all I do now. My 2c

How often can you do bed levelling with the phillips screwdriver until the screws are worn out? I guess youb can replace those screws when using it a bit. Still unsure if I should buy a 100 $ device as a total beginner, or to immediately buy a better and larger device for like 3xx/4xx $ that has all the features and better quality. It's unlikely that I will use it heavily atm, so I guess starting cheap is ... better.... or ... more frustrating?

I have the EasyThreed X1 Mini which I think has the same board inside (because my board says EasyThreed 4000, which is the model number of this square nano guy). This has a heated bed, right, because it prints ABS? Does anyone know what connectors are used for the heating bed? I want to add a heat bed to mine and I've seen people do it, but I'm not sure what connectors are needed. Apparently there are different kinds for different boards.
