Kadhi can also be made with almond flour, which is totally keto friendly and so yummy! I've never heard of Lupin, thanks to you now I can try that as well and will def make the khichdi with the lupin, I can't wait. I'm actually so excited to try this out, more then I should be. Hahaha

Looks super yum. Will definitely try. We have similar soups in my native country Iran which use yoghurt as the main ingredient. Question: Have you ever made felafel with lupin flakes? It is to die for and I would challenge anyone saying they are any less tasty than the original. I mix the cooked lupin flakes with fresh herbs and spices (heaps of cumin) and add 1 or more eggs according to the size of the batch. Then use an ice cream scoop and put them onto a baking tray, drizzle olive oil on them and back at 180 until golden. You will never look back. Keeps in the fridge for a few days and freezes well making them ideal lunchbox addition. Also ideal in wraps with salad and garlicky yoghurt sauce. You really don't need a recipe. Just make it up as you go along and it works every time. Oh, the only thing is I don't add as much water to the lupin while cooking. Add some and then keep adding if I need to on 1-minute intervals on the microwave. They need to keep their granular shape rather than be too moist. Hope you make it on the channel one day.

Wonderful! May I ask what you added to the Lupin Flour?
@panjibear74124 жыл бұрын
EasyToKeto first of all I can’t thank you enough for introducing to Lupin flour! I added 1/4 tsp of xanthum gum, chopped cauliflower , onions , jalapeños and all Indian spices as usual. Then I added enough water to make soft dough - not too thick and too too watery. I fried the pakoras in Avocado oil . Wish could send you pictures😀. ❤️ “My husband loved the Pakoras” He also liked the Besan /Burfi too .

savitad2010 yes! I found the recipe on KZbin that was made with Garbanzo flour, so instead I used the Lupin flour ,Monkfruit sweetener & some cardamom.

How do you eat them together? Do you mix Kadhi and Kichidi? or dip bit or kichidi into Khadi one spook at a time (like dunking idly onto sambar ::) ?

Great recipe 👍 Can we use yogurt for anti inflammatory diet? Pls share your experience.Thanks in advance.
@EasyToKeto4 жыл бұрын
Being on keto, I don't normally eat regular yogurt because of the high sugar/carb content. I occasionally use Greek yogurt in recipes like kadhi, but still in small quantities. Sorry, I haven't experienced any benefit or lack of with eating yogurt, but its said that yogurt is anti-inflammatory.

@@EasyToKeto What about cheese, that you are using paneer and some other type cheese? I hv read diary products are inflammatory. Can you mention what all things you are avoiding for anti inflammatory condition?
@EasyToKeto4 жыл бұрын
@@Sinthol_Santhu I personally have had no issues with dairy while being on keto but it may be different person to person. I am simply avoiding carbs and trying to eat clean foods, but I'm not strict with dairy and gluten.

Great video on Kadhi. Can you cook pakoras to add to Kadhi with Lupin flour?
@EasyToKeto4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Unfortunately, lupin flour on its own does not have the same binding properties as chickpea flour so it's hard to make pakodas out of it. It may work with other additional ingredients...will have to think about it :)

@EasyToKeto3 жыл бұрын
Greek yogurt has fewer carbs than regular yogurt so it should be ok in moderation.

Can I use almond flour instead of lupin flour?
@EasyToKeto3 жыл бұрын
Lupin flour closely resembles chickpea flour in taste and texture. Though I have not tried almond flour, I feel it may not work. If you try it, I'd love to hear your feedback.

Can we use mawa/ khoya in keto recipes?
@EasyToKeto4 жыл бұрын
Since mawa/khoya is made from cooking down milk, I don't think it would be allowed on keto. Milk is not keto friendly because of the high natural sugar content.

Does lupin flour have bitter taste?
@EasyToKeto4 жыл бұрын
The one I used has no bitter taste whatsoever. I have heard of other people mentioning that there are two types of lupin (one bitter and one sweet) but I haven't seen them.

Can you make pakoda or dosa using lupin flour for keto receipes ??
@EasyToKeto4 жыл бұрын
Lupin does not have the same binding quality as besan (chickpea flour) so it doesn't work well for pakoda. You may be able to add other ingredients to it but I have not tried it.
