1 - “Hangi işle meşgulsün?”: This question literally translates into “What job are you busy with?”, but we have decided to replace it with the more familiar term “What do you do for a living?” in the English subtitles, so it may make more sense.
2 - “İnşallah (Inshallah) and Maşallah (Mashallah): These two words borrowed from Arabic are commonly heard among Muslims. İnşallah means “God willing”, and is said after good wishes. Maşallah means “God has willed it”, and is used to express appreciation, praise or congratulations to other people.
3 - Usta: This word is normally used to refer to a master of an artisan craft or occupation, but it is also used as slang akin to the English “bro” or “dude”, especially among males.
