I think it's not that his daughters are ungrateful, It's just that they are trapped between their progressive vs conservative view in life. And when you have to speak it out at the dinner table, it's gonna get harder to speak, and to eat. Because Cantonese people believe what have nutrients everyting boiled in pot when you're eat soup from that .
