I absolutely loved the fact, that she acknowledged she erred on the first batch by adding to much liquid, and laughed it off and tried again... makes it so much more relatable, as opposed to editing out the error and showing the perfect end product...

@eatahfood Please let Chrisal know she has a crush from Maryland!!! These videos are warming, me remembering helping my grand mother bake around Christmas, then cleaning up and getting to lick the bowls...I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Chrisal is so down to earth and full of positive vibes and laughter which I love about her! Maybe @eatahfood you'll can have her do a Q&A for her fans?

My favorite drops recipe so far ... not too much butter, and makes a big enough batch .. i make 14 drops from this recipe. I replace 1 1/2 cup of the flour with cracked wheat flour and seed meals (mixture of *ground* flax, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds) (The cracked wheat i get at Massy and its the same price as whole wheat but its nicer for baking than the regular whole wheat). I also added a couple dashes of Angustura bitters, a few drops of almond essence, few dashes of coconut essence and 1/2 tsp mixed essence.... and in addition to nutmeg and cinnamon i grated about 1/3 of a tonka bean (i get tonka beans from the spice vendors in the market). The smell in the house.. hm. Thank you for sharing ☺

Chrisal, when you forgot to add sugar, you baked the drops as is. Then in a small sauce pan, make a heavy sugar syrup with a little grated fresh ginger and glaze the drops twice. Put into the oven. Also long time drink, mauby and evaporated milk.Perfect Pairing!

I love baking. Truth be told, I much prefer baking to cooking. 🤣 but since I must eat, I make my cooking very simple. I kno they say baking is a science but lots of time you can add liquid sparingly till the consistency is reached. As you said, some recipes are forgiving. Great job chic.
