The sponge candy is indeed honey, rather, honeycomb. It gets the sponge like appearance from the way it is cooked. You should really look up some true sponge candy and try it without the toffee. It is to die for!

I’m from Maine so seeing “Canadian” snacks is pretty funny given that I can get almost all of this stuff in my town. I know Canada is well known for its maple syrup, but all of the northeast U.S. states like Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire tend to argue over who has the best syrup. You should definitely try some Marshmallow Fluff, Whoopie pies, and “Moxie” soda from Maine at some point. Moxie has got to be one of the most unique soda flavors on the planet, not a cola or root beer something closer to a cough syrup.

Rootbeer is canadian not american. A&W is a restraunt. They made their own type of rootbeer made from natural plants and stuff. The other type of rootbeer is way different. And also, A&W has nothing to do with rootbeer and the fact that its american not canadian also has nothing to do with rootbeer. So the fact still stands that ROOTBEER is canadian.
