You need to try there Lomo Saltado and their grilled chicken with the garlic vinegarette. My kids drink that sauce. I live about an hour away from where you guys are! Yall should try Char-Hut if you want good premium fast food burgers. Also try Wings Plus in Coral Springs for the best wings in South FL. Flanigan’s is also a great pick if you’re ever craving baby back ribs.

I've been to every place you featured here except the Italian ice place. You missed Snapper's for seafood, Miami Grill for gyros, Latin American Cafe for Cuban sandwiches and El Rey de las Fritas for--well, fritas. They are a Cuban-style burger, mixed ground beef and chorizo (sausage) topped with shoestring potatoes on a bun. By the way, who mentioned the sauces and accompaniments at that self-service bar is correct. Those salsas and toppings are EXCELLENT, especially for dipping the fried yucca.

I live in south Florida so I have been enjoying these vids!! By the way pollo tropical is a carribean food inspired chain! Most of the population in southern Florida is carribean: Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Haitians, Jamaicans. So that’s mainly the food you are going to find :)

If yall go to pollo tropical u should get the family meal with just the basic white rice and black beans. For the sauce I HIGHLY recommend the cilantro garlic! Me and my family just went there yesterday and every time we go we order the catering size of cilantro garlic cuz of how much we like it. We keep the left over sauce for meals I make at home.

yuca is a tuber as well as potato so you aren´t wrong, the one you ate is most likely just the yuca boiled until it is soft and then fried; at least in my country it is usually paired up with a sauce called "Mojo".

The flat thing at the 3rd restaurant is fried plantains and the orange thing was Yuka. Lagranga is gas but stick to the more latin stuff. Usually the kitchen staff is Hispanic so their cooking their food.
