Eating at Planet Hollywood Observatory Restaurant at Disney Springs | Disney Restaurant Review

In today's video, we wanted to show another restaurant at Disney Springs, this time called Planet Hollywood Observatory. We have not been to the Planet Hollywood At Disney Springs since our honeymoon 9 years ago. Back then, it was just Planet Hollywood and a few years back they changed it to Planet Hollywood Observatory. Inside, you will find lots of movie screen used memorabilia. All around the restaurant are different items that were featured in movies. During your dining experience, you can walk around and look at everything. There are multiple floors! We had a reservation, and for the most part, we would always recommend a reservation. We got seated right away. The one thing that was the biggest con, was the speakers. It was extremely loud in there to the point the waiter couldn’t hear us. However, the cool thing was that if you have kids, they made it very kid friendly and if you are having a birthday, they will put your name up on the big screen. They did play music videos on the big screen and some sing along songs. As far as the menu goes, it’s a big menu. Guy Fieri has taken over and has some burgers and sandwiches. We ended up trying several different things including penne, chicken sandwich, and we shared ribs. Everything was pretty good. It wasn’t like it was exceptional but it was t bad either. The gift shop is cool and has a lot of nice items. We were glad to experience this one again but we said we would more than likely wait a few years before going back. We first ate there 30 years ago. They had a placemat with childhood photos of the celebrity owners and you had to guess who they were. Eventually they closed down and tore down the building. They ended up rebuilding. I love all the things to look at. We usually have the high roller app which looks like a Ferris Wheel-it is hard to explain-5 apps and 3 of us share it. I have always liked their chicken tenders made with Captain Crunch and that is one of the apps on high rollers. The last time we had a friend with us who loves chicken tenders and she didn’t like them-they are different. We go there for the apps and atmosphere and then go to another restaurant for dinner. I have also been to a Planet Hollywood in NYC and on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Disney Springs is the nicest one.

We ate there awhile back and they used to have Captain crunch chicken which is probably what they now call Crunch chicken? But it was really good. I got the recipe and now make it at home from time to time….

You should try the Lucky Dill in Palm Harbor. The Brisket Monster is totally a Stinking Good sandwich. Oh, and they have one of the best bakeries I've seen in Florida.
